I was racing in the dream car championship and I backed over the finish line just for the hell of it. After this when the computer took over it went forward over the line causing me to come last, even though the AI was not given a finishing time.....

So anyway has this happened to anyone else? It left me very confused.

Thanks

man thats gotta suck, I'll only do it if i have a win in an I-link session, and a long way in front

that got to be one of the wierder things to have happened

I've backed over the line in GT2, but not deliberately in GT3. I'll have to try it sometime. :D

I've spun over the line, but once the AI takes over it has no control and keeps spinning past the line.

pull a handbrakey over the finish line in an MR car (make sure its really sideways, then watch the computer try and recover it, almost always ends up spinning out

THAT HAPPENED TO ME TOO!!!! After knowing i was going to win, i just wanted to further gratify my self and go over the finishline backwards, so i "win "the race, but when the computer takes over, he goes back over the finishline at the same time the other racecar or two pass me. The wierd thig was that i had a faster time, but it still put me in third, showing the car in first and second with a +.536 or whatever time it was.

i tried and this is what happened:

Was happily driving my F1 car (one of 14) in the Beginner World Champioship when at the end of lap 2 i backed it over the line
After that it got weird, first the Computer took over , drove the car over the line and it read that i was 6th
Then it re-drove over the line and had me in first place
Then the stangest of strange, in the results instead of an F1 car its come up with a bloody Impreza rally car!
I have photos to prove this and will have them up as soon as i get the film developed
WEIRD

i swear ving....one day when you're driving your FIAT, im gonna like spring out from under a blanket in the back seat and like....strangle you with a piano wire!!:trouble: :D

oh wait no then you would'nt be here making an arse of yourself...and the boards would get a whole lot more boring:p

by the way i like being wierd....it suits me;)

Mmmmm...

I tried this a couple of weeks ago in the F1, and it didn't affect me at all. I backed over the line going at about 5km/h so the computer would stop right on the line, which it did, and then the car automatically went back onto the track, turned around and went over the line. None of the AI passed me, as I was too far in the lead, and I won the race.

It all seems fine to me...

I regularly do 'back it in' spins over the line to celebrate wins, but I don't think I've ever done it in an F1 car.

I had it down to a pretty fine art where I could do it crossing the line in the laps prior to the last and just 'spin and continue', but I don't know if I could still do it - been a while...

'Back it in' spin, eh? Is that the one where you pull a handbrakey and spin backwards over the line? Great fun, that. :trouble:

I always go backwards over the line...except it's in the middle of a celebration spin that brings the computer back around so it always goes forward for me. I'll give it a shot and see for you there.

did it around R11, spun it completly, stopped, then slowly reversed over the line when it happened

just could not believe that the icon that showed up was the impreza rally car and not the F1:odd:
