I once jumped.my car over a humped back bridge. It shattered the catalytic converter into little pieces. I had to disconnect the exhaust at the manifold to be abke ti drive the car

I think r kelly i believe i can fly is a better song to listen to

Yes exactly that a fanatec CSR on the 360 :), if you want i can give you my settings (had to work a lot on them to get it right for my taste, but afterwards most cars handle fine and the FFB is good enough.

There is definitely a huge difference between the physics of the 2 games, GT is better at the general feel at the wheel but Shift 2 has other aspects (like the instability over kerbs and jumps), it simulates better than GT IMO.

Anyway let me know.

Thanks for the offer, I don't really see myself playing the game again unless I get really bored and have nothing else to do. I did manage to get the wheel settings to where the cars were drivable and after doing so was able to post a pretty good lap on Nurburgring in an MX5. It was definitely better after the settings but still had its faults. My brother has both the Xbox version and the PC version and told me that the PC version was quite a bit better with the Fanatec without changing any of the settings than he was ever able to get on the Xbox version.

Anyway thanks, If I ever decide to fire it up I may drop you a PM or something but more likely I will just keep playing GT6.

I myself haven't jet got a licence, but here's a video of some insane car jumps and the most of them don't have a happy end.

I've broken "normal" cars with a little bit of air. We have a 4-lane wide "bump" across a main road that you can pretty easily get air, and bottom out your car, at 45mph, on a 55mph road.

My mom was taken to the hospital by ambulance. We were rushing to the hospital doing 85-90, that bump probably got us 3-4 feet in the air (we were in a Sebring sedan at that time). Sparks everywhere. Cracked front control arms, bent upper shock mounts front and rear, and kinked the car.

Yes, the whole car. Roof was wavy, doors hit eachother at the top and had a gap on bottom, and a solid crack straight across the undercarriage. Car was still drivable, but you could tell it was seriously injured.

Jumped a '93 Camry V6 over railroad tracks when I first got my license (on accident). Honestly, maybe a foot in the air, 2 tops. The shock of landing bent the radiator supports and moved the engine far enough to crack the j-pipe, producing the most horrible racket I've ever heard. Not sure if it's related, but after 185k miles, that car died weeks later. Horrible, painful, chugging/knocking/stalling/exploding engine problems.

I've gotten trucks probably 5-8 feet up with no issues (other than cracked thermostat housings on Dodges, and water pumps on Chevy's, but that's common on those trucks whenever you bottom out).

If you manage a perfectly flat takeoff and landing, landing downhill, with a specialized vehicle (like a rally car), yes, you can jump and be fine. Change any of those variables, you're going to have a bad time.

and by looking at all those unedited tape where we see cars jumping off cliffs and and bumps, I clearly see the in fact the front of the car takes a lot of damage..

No wonder why they've used that much cars in Movies :P
