Referred to as "Alaska's Akina" by... well, no one, actually, I made that up to make it sound more impressive, the paved portion of Hatcher Pass's east side is 10+ miles of sheer lumpy, badly paved, guardrail-free terror. Speeds are in the low-to-medium range, but there's only one hairpin.
