Hate being stuck at the same red light everyday?

That's crazy. Just this morning while driving to work I was headed toward a light and it turned yellow. It was going to be close but I continued on knowing I'd make it with time to spare. Then I remembered it was a photo-enforced light. By the time I remembered this it was too late to stop so I floored it to make it past the sensor's threshold in time. I think I made it since I was looking for the flash and didn't see any.

Not here, but there was one in Lima.

It was at the side of a McDonalds restaurant. Not that it matters anyways, but that is the thing I remember about it.

This damn light would take 2 minutes to change from red to green (favoring us), but would turn red in 20 seconds. It was all because there was a big avenue perpendicular to us, but that was just extreme.:irked:

If I'm pressed for time (or don't want to get stuck behind a dodo travelling 15mph!), I just make a right on red while traffic is making left tunrs out of your way, and then I make the U-turn. Absolutely nothing illegal about that, provided you stop and yield as necessary.

On the way to school in the morning i pass a middle school that has a crossing guard that lets the whole damn neighborhood cross the street at the same time. I think I'll run him over some day.

Dude thats soooooooooo illegal in Mich.

I was freaked out when we visited Vegas and saw people flippin "u'ies" at every single intersection. Totally dangerous if you ask me,.. but completely legal out there for some strange reason.

Traffic laws here are f'ed. Technically, your not even allowed to make a "u'ie" in a business enterence.

There's usually a red light on the way to school in the morning when I have to turn left; I just go straight, make the U turn and then make a right on red.

   I think you meant to say I just turn right, make the U turn and then make a right on red. 👍

Nope. It's a highway intersection, and there is a left turn lane. That lane usually has a red light, so I go straight, make a U turn, come back down, and turn right.

just imagine what's going to happen when everyone has one of those and people are trying to change the light at the same time:lol:

Our signals are all activated by metal sensors in the ground. I used to set them off with my bicycle just to tick off the motorists (:

Here there are loads of traffic lights with light-sensors on top. A couple of quick flashes of the main headlamps will kick off a change.

I once did this with every single stop light on the way home, and never had to stop. By about the 8th light, I was singing and doing the Dark Lord dance, whilst still driving. The wife was shaking her head in disbelief, rather suspecting that she was in an alternate universe.

It's usually a small box on the top of the light, pointing forward and down. To try it, pick a quiet intersection at night.
