have a general idea of what cars should be in a GT?

This isn't a GT6 fantasy list so before the mods or fill-in mods come on here going "there are tons of threads like this" I just want to see what cars you guys choose if you were to play a new GT game. If it be GT6, GT7 or GT8 and 3/4s, the idea is to pick a manufacture and a nice list of cars you'd want to see in that dealership. Obviously they'd be premium and all the goodies. I just want to see what cars people here deem great for a racing game and a brief reason why for all the cars you've listed. I'll start us off and go with an easy one that I feel wan't given true justice this time around (or anytime really). Please give pictures or videos! Let's have fun with this.

Now...I picked this because I think it'd be fun to have the American sedan that gives the Euro sedans a run for their money. I also think the race version would be fun against the GTE-Pro C6r, and 430 and 458s out there.
The LMP car wasn't great but wasn't bad either and would be fun to drive on a true racing game. The other cars too me are boring and fit that old folk theme but I guess if you wanted to practice on a Cadillac before going up in power the STS-V would probably be another I might add.

Here are a few vehicles that I would really enjoy seeing/driving in some of the future GT's and i'm sure if I thought about it a bit longer i'd come up with even more!

Ford:

I'd love to see the older 5.0 Fox Body's put into a future GT series, I personally think this car made a big impact in the Mustang world considering the 5.0 engine Ford has put into it's newer models. It's simply an awesome car that seems to get overlooked quite a bit IMO.

GMC:

This is a truck that no one seems to know about but yet it's probably the quickest they'll ever see without a doubt. It's a turbocharged AWD, 4.3L Vortec V-6 truck (there is also an SUV version) that runs a 13.4 to 14.3 in the 1/4 mile (stock).
