Hey dudes, i want to hear if anybody out there has done a 24h le mans since spec 2.02. I would like to know about you car choice, how long the tires and fuel lasts and so.

So if somebody out there has done a 24h le mans since spec 2.02 or is during a le mans right now please PM me or write in this thread.

I would like to know:
  • What car you used? Tuned or untuned?
  • What choice of tires and how long the diffrent tire lasts
  • What was your pit stop rutine with tires and fuel

Thanks in advance. :)

Haven't done the race , but have done some testing on tire wear. Seems that the main factors affecting wear are weight and torque. The Audi R10 wore rear tires at twice the rate that the Mazda 787. Front wear was not an issue with either car. I would choose a car with lower torque output and run softs up front and hards in the rear.

Used prototype red bull 2011 no diffrence, only used red bull because it saved me driving for 24 hrs, stock settings pitted every 8 laps, drove for 18 hrs easy

I want to use a Le Mans car, not the Redbull. Aint gonna die of boredom after a couple of hours ;)

But i wanna use one of my favorites like Audi R8, R10, Pug 908, Mazda 787b, Nissan R92 or Bentley speed 8.

I've done some online testing since the new patch with softs and meds. Softs lasts around 4 and meds 5. Dont know if its diffrent offline. Havent driven offline for half a year or so.

But i've readen that before the patch people could drive 10 laps or so on soft slicks. Guess thats not the case anymore. But if anybody can recommend something please write :)

yes I just finished yesterday! I used an untouched bentley speed 8, racing hards last about 7 laps, softs only last 3-4 laps when its dry. when its wet I used racing softs but when its wet the tires will last longer than fuel so I would pit when it was less than 1/4 tank. Have fun I loved this race! It took 4 days 6 hrs each day!:)

What happened to your login bonus over the 4 days? I'm guessing it wasn't updated. I was thinking of using bentley too - did you use a wheel or stick?

I used a DFGT wheel for 23hrs and a ds3 for the first hr, my tires lasted a lap longer with the wheel. After I won the race it still gave me 200% payout but after you exit to gt life menu it went DOWN to 170%

I'm in the process of completing the race now. I've had both dry and wet conditions.

Using a Toyota GT-One (TS020) with a high end turbo. While it was dry out, I used Race Mediums in front and Race Hards in back. This setup lasted me 6 laps, I probably could have gone 7, but throttle control is hard with a DS3. I used bewteen 48-49 liters of fuel per pit, so you could squeeze filling up for fuel every other pit stop.

Then the rain came. I used Race tires until about 50%, then put on Intermediates. These tires had a funny thing about them; they did not wear at all. I think I got 10-11 laps from them, and then had to fuel. Once the full Rain tires got put on, lap times skyrocketed, but I still lasted 6 laps. On the last lap, the tires really got worn down. The car had wheelspin all the way through 4th gear, so I had to be constantly be careful not to shred the tires, even in the wet.

To sum up:

Race Med- Front
Race Hard- Back should get you 6 laps, possibly 7.
Race Softs last for a generous 3 laps.
Try to get a car that does not have 100000 lb/ft of torque. You will eat tires and have to pit. ALOT. And probably use a considerable amount of fuel during the tire-eating process.

Think i might give it a go with a stock audi R8 (no turbo). I expect to use Racing hard on both front and rear most of the time and maybe switch to mediums once in a while :) With some gentle peice of driving i should be able to get the mediums to last around 6 laps.

More feedback welcome :)

EDIT: Just done some pre-race testing on racing hard.. Got to say it tears the tires apart. Pretty rough. And it understeers a little. Gotta see if this can be fixed in some way else im gonna do some testing in the bentley :)

I got caught in the middle of it by the patch.

Stock Peugeot 908 - Pre Patch:

Post Patch:
