Have they fixed the flying car problem from GT3???

Ya in the old GT3 there was a hilarious bug in the game where you could take the Escudo and the Gille race cars and make clock them at 600 some odd miles per hour on the max speed track.

The bug was that cars cant be flipped upside down.

So you take your escude or gille race care and max out the back spoiler down force and min the front spoiler. This would cause your car to sort of "fly" if you will and go super fast. Upwards of 400 to 600 mph!!! (turn off traction control, change the transmission so that it could accommodate such a high speed, and a bunch of other stuff!)

Anyone know if they fixed that in this game????

You can still make the front of the car take-off if that's what you mean...

ya but does the car end up going past 400mph once the front takes off? I dont have the cars thats why I'm asking.

theresnoradical i got the escudo in gt3 to do well over 2500kph!!! (there wasn't an mph option in 3)
wot sort of drugs u on man 2500km/p

Don't know about flying and excessive speed, but the cars can still do wheelies, and you need to be going pretty fast for that - about 350kph plus... :)

Well using the wheelie trick i got my minolta race car up to 380ish mph, it would probably do more if i tuned it better.

380mph must be up around 500kph isn't it? That's pretty damn quick in anyones book... :)

There's a thread around here somewhere in which people are discussing the top speed of their cars ... MANY have posted times in excess of anything possible in reality ... all using the "wheelie trick" ... so i guess it's not fixed :P

There's not only another thread like this, there's about 10 other threads like this.

I vote for Moderator Approval to come back, this is annoying reading the same stuff over and over.

i searched for the thread when i started it... i guess i didn't search enuf. anyways its settled so dont read it anymore then.

close it or whatever.

build a bridge.
you can choose not to read the thread, no one is forcing you.
Its fine to point out that other threads exist, but to rant about it is going overboard IMHO. 👎

it´s true i got my escudo up in 2500kph 2600kph in GT3. i would show a photo of it but i have no camera

that. is . fantabulous.

howed you manage that. how do you do this wheelie trick?
Ah, the 2 billion KPH thing is the "breakout bug" in seattle. You have to hit a gap where 2 barriers meet on the pit straight and you'll go through them. :D
To do the wheelie bug you need a 1000hp+ car like the Escudo. Lower the rear suspension all the way and raise the front. Then give it max. rear downforce and none on the front. For gear ratio's put it on the longest auto setting and then set the final gear as 3.500 (I think, you may have to tinker with this)
Run backwards round the Test Course and after a couple or runs down the straight the front of the car'll lift up and the rear wing will disappear through track!

o/t, whenever I try the breakout bug I don't hit some stupid speed, I just find myself driving round outside the track. Do i have to drive off the edge of the map for it to work properly?

in gt3 you could only do it with cars like the gillet and the escudo. (i.e. HUGE power to weight ratio AND front/back downforce control)

Front spoiler=0 and the back gets max. Then you change the gear ratios. Turn off all the ai assisted traction control/stability control. Have all the camber/toe at 0. And I think you put the suspension really soft/mid-height. This is for GT3 tho.

by the way I WOULD say you photoshopped that 2 billion crap... but that is just too hard to photoshop something like that unless you have good knowledge about photoshop and image editing... and SKILL.

you need to go quite fast :) but most important, you need to hit the barrier at eh correct place. if you go up to the barriers and stop, you can see a gap between them, try and go through this.

:grumpy: you can see me in the reflection of the TV taking the photo

Oh yeah, I can get through the gap alright. That's how i'm driving round outside the track in the first place. ;)
I guess i'll just try hitting the gap faster. :)

the blur on the numbers in matched over the whole screen.. if that was photoshopped... then ill hail them and there uber skill.

I'd always heard that the 2500 MPH thing in GT3 was a cheat of some sort, and that it was combined with the wheelie trick to get the crazy speed. It worked with the Escudo and GT-One, as I understood it.
