Do any of you have personal goals that you have achieved or hope to achieve?

I don't just mean getting to level 40 A Spec or collecting all cars... although they are worthy achievements!

I've had one since I got the game (almost) at Christmas 2010... to win the GT All Stars (expert level) Nurby Nord race in a Bentley.

Tonight, after 10 months, I've finally done it! Sounds piffling, after all it is only expert level, but it's been hard work! I found the Seasonal real race tracks race easier. That All Stars challenge is not easy.... especially since the 2.0 update, which has made AI more aggressive and the consequences of touching grass disastrous!

I won in 6'29".XXX, with the Toyota GT One 1 second behind, closely followed by the Audi R8 '01. Chuffed!

My next is to get around Rome in less than a minute, in any car......!

What's yours?

Get gold on Grand Tour Eiger.
 
I haven't yet... And I'm not sure if this is a personal goal, but I'm trying to gold my last license, which is IA license. And along the way was a pain in the 🤬 Even though forced SRF helped out hugely, it didn't made me as proud as I was before it was forced..

That is a personal goal! What's the forced SRF??
 
I had goals of 60 gold licenses and all gold on the AMG Academy and achieved both. After two weeks of owning the game I remember saying I'll never get golds on this, lol. It just took some time of learning the track and really wasn't too bad.

:D And SRF means Skid Recovery Force. It was forced on by PD after a certain patch somewhere in the summer..

EDIT: Oh! And another goal was to gold the Nordschleife full lap on the 2nd level in the SLS in the AMG Academy, and accomplished +1 month ago by a second :D

Almost, just got that damn X2010 event to gold.
 
Reach Lv. 40 so I can finally buy colored X2010s
Drive cars without ABS
Obtain every car and a tuned counterpart for non-racing cars

Eh, that's all that comes to mind right now. I would put golding the S. Vettel challenge but I seriously doubt if I'll be able to do it. I try so hard that I honestly start sweating but I can't even reach silver time on Nurb. :ouch:
 
My goal was to race at least one lap in every car on every track. :dopey:

Just kidding. I guess I wanted to get all golds in the licenses, but I just can't motivate myself to do that. I'd rather drive cars on tracks when I do get a chance to play.
 
mine would be golding the licences I geuss.
Am stuck on the IB-3 slalom :crazy:
 
My goal would be to own as many of the cars as I can not off to a good start only have 60
 
My only goal at this stage in my GT5 career is to win one of the league series that I am currently in. However due to the insanely fast drivers I race against week in and week out, it's probably best to adjust that a bit and shoot for just winning one race every month lol.

How? Care to share the tune for that kind of speed? i can get mine up to 475kmh but thats it :-(

Could do a league for non pro's and casual racers... I have a thread on it and it will be a reality soon I hope :)

This was also a goal of mine, acheived last week. I'm now working on the 4hr Norburgring, using the SLS AMG 2010. I love this car, it's fast, handles great & alot of fun.
 
Yeah i wanted to gold the Vettel challenge and i did it. Because it was really hard to get bronze before they updated it with steering sensivity wich helped alot
 
I got my main one a couple weeks ago... Platinum (without any glitching or cheating of any kind) :)

Now all I have left is...
- Get decent Internet so I can race in leagues
- win a league race

Pretty achievable I think :)

All I wanted was Platinum. I knew that if I got that, all my goals would have been met.
 
Platinum would be nice but I won't get that for quite some time since I am terrible at the rally events and have no real interest in the license tests so I rarely do them enough to get gold.
A shorter term one I had was the Historic Racing Car Cup, had a huge problem with that for some reason, then one day a few weeks ago it clicked and seemed fairly easy (easier than it seemed previously at least). Only thing I have left in A-Spec is the FGT
Series and the enduros i have left.
 
I've reached one of my goals last month, which was to get 100% game completion.

My current goal is to get the Platinum trophy. Only 4 golds(3 vettel events and 1 rally event) remain and all are in the special event challenges. My trusty DualShock 3 and I have a tough road ahead.
 
My first-before-everything personal goal is getting the McLaren F1. Done it yesterday. I thought It'd take more than just 4 days (well 2 actually - 2 to get used to the game and 2 to get cash).

Win all the A-Spec events.
Win all the Special Events.
Get my fav cars ;p

Back on topic I'm unlikely to achieve my goal for a while - piles of things that ought to be done still remains on my way.
 
Going for all paints so will take me a while yet..but I'm still hopeful.:)
