havent played in a month, updated and freezes?

Ok so I havent played in a month, decide tonight Ill get back into it since i heard the update is pretty good. Fire it up, system update available so did that. Then fired the game up, new update available so did that.

When i launch the game, right after the GT5 splash screen, it goes black *like the transistion to the next screen* but just stays there... For a few minutes now. I tried quiting the game, and restarting and still same thing.

What gives? Perhaps I need to delete the GT5 data from the ps3? That will take alot of time.. though if needed I could do it over night, but i just wanted to jump in and play
 
try logging out of your psn and then launch the game. slow internet or server connections will increase the loading time
 
Wow, so many people having this problem. Try leaving it on for a while. If that doesn't work, delete the Game Data (NOT THE GAME SAVE) and then reinstall it. You do lose some things though, like photos, car thumbnails (which can be re-placed, though), your custom courses, and some other things I can't remember.
 
You will lose the custom courses and lap times aswell I think. I put just the game save on my new PS3 and lost those things.
