I'm having a testing time trying to build really powerful cars.....
what I want is my Polyphony001 to have 2 or 3 times it's original HP, but I can't seem to get the car to deliver it without fishtailing all over the place or donutting everywhere.

Anyone got some simple fixes for this type of thing?

If you want it to have 2 times the power, go into MKS, select the car you want, and then export it as an INI file. Open the INI file up in Notepad, scroll down to the line that starts with 440, and chance the 1 to a 2000. If you want it to have 3 times the power, change the 1 to a 3000.

Sorry I obviously wasn't clear enough....

I know how to get the extra power, what I cannot do is make the car transfer that power to the asphalt without burning copious amounts of rubber, or losing the back end with the slightest touch of the go pedal.

Don't touch that grip, whatever anyone says... Mess with that, break you r car.

U can Increase the grip value to 110 without having any problems...

On my Tickford I have 120 in grip value at the front and 110 rear....

This is a 9300bhp monster doing complex on 2.04.xxx
Handles like a dream.....:)

majik, all your times are like 6 or 7 sec. faster than anything anybody else ever heard of dude, you must be like mario andretti or something...

So should I mess with grip or not?
If I decide to, which lines are they?
How much do you muck with them?

Cheers

Before you touch "grip" ask yourself two things. First, what does it do, and second why would you want to?

"Grip" isn't anything at all to do with the actual grip generated by the tyres - setting it high won't make the car go around corners quicker. The only way to alter that is to put on different tyres.

The grip component is actually part of the suspension - it seems to be damper-based but ill-defined. If you particularly want to see what it does, set grip to 1 front and rear. THAT'S what it does :D

For those fans of super-high grip, I ask this. Why does a Mini Cooper have grip of 90 front and rear, but a P001/F094/S has a grip of 75 front and rear?

Jez - leave it be... :D

:D 'Cept F1 T5s are actually stickier than any T8s... :D

I think the P001's problem is probably the high rear toe - -3.0. I'd suggest Zeroing that, or maybe -0.5 for a little oversteer, up the front and rear DF to about 1.15/1.75. Should cure the fishtailing. I hope...
