first off, contrary to my username, i am not a GT "noob" but for the life of me i can't control this car! whenever i hit the brakes, i spin uncontrollably, and end up in the sand. i could scrape a 3rd in 630pp high speed ring, now doing the daytona road course event (630pp) and spin out on first turn (using standard physics). it's strange though, that tonight i set a top 100 time on superspeedway, but cant drive this car anywhere else. So any tips on driving the lotus on daytona-road course or giving advice on a different car to use in 630pp would be much aprecciated. thanks

Are you using wheel or gamepad. I've only recently been driving the Tuned Elise (wheel, Professional mode) and while it can be quite fun on a track like HSR, on a track like Suzuka, you have to be aware of the speed when tackling corners. I would suggest lowering your HP and at the same time increasing your downforce on more challenging tracks. You could also try Ferrari F430 or even an Audi R8 on the PP630 race at Daytona RC. Another car that will challenge the Tuned Elise at Daytona, is the Nissan GT-R Proto.

brake hard in the straights, release brake before entering corner and modulate throttle during corner. After mastering this then try trail braking: release the brake during the entry of a corner to allow for later braking (not the best for all cars or all corners)

The brakes are the key to that car. That and knowing when to get on the gas. Yes, modulate the gas in the corners like santiagomo87 has said (left-foot-brake like crazy!), but also remember not to start getting in it too fast comming out of the corner. Also, for a good suspension tune, look up TLD's setup. That's what I based my tune off of; I have mine set a tad stiffer.

When I started racing with this car, I had to have ASM on. (that's right, not ashamed to admit that!) And it was a good while before I was comfortable enough to take it off.

ill try an R8/F430 then try these suggestions for the lotus. myke6699, i can't use GTR proto because it's the reward for winning S class and ummm i'm working on it :D

and i'm using a DFGT.

I always run the rear brake bias 1 lower than the front. (5-4 or 6-5) Rear downforce maxed out (35). And in the races that allow for it, harder front tyres (R2-R3 or S2-S3) and slight front downforce (12). Springs are up to you. This is my new favourite for Suzuka 750pp. 👍

I play with a wheel, and the main issue I was having was that I was letting off the brake too quickly. At first I didnt notice it so I tried to only brake when going straight, but later on found out that if you are careful you can brake even during cornering.
