I'm having a similar problem. I'm running IE 8.0, windows xp media center with everything updated. The problem is when I click back a sound is made and the button looks like it was depressed but nothing else happens and the page stays where it is. I must then click it 2 more times before it loads the previous page. This actually started on my other computer first, and I just got this one up and going everything installed and it started doing the same thing, I don't think it happened immediately, just started doing it.

All I can say is what the hell? This only happens on GTPlanet...

Edit: It's also only happening when I'm in a thread.

That's strange, I can't duplicate the problem on my machine with IE8. Do you have any plug-ins or toolbars installed?

Do what Jordan says in that link. Works like a treat!

I use that keyboard shortcut as well, but I've never had this problem. If you think it has to do with the InfoLinks, you can disable them (even if you're not Premium) by checking the appropriate box near the bottom of your account options.
There you go

The problem is that Casey is a Premium user, and the option I suggested for yeti to change would have no affect on his account.

When I read your question, you were shown as a Premium member. I didn't know that you had just signed up for the service.

I know, I was just playing. I'm sure it has something to do with the ads though, and since I just signed up for Premium those ads are no longer having an affect. But to answer your earlier question, I don't have and plug-ins or toolbars installed, aside from maybe java or something.

BTW - if you log out (i.e. if you time out and go back to logged out) - the Back button reverts to the old method of operation (i.e. not working until the third press)

I had this problem too before I became a Premium member. It was a right ball ache having to click three times. I didn't know you could switch it off in the account settings.

I thought it was just Jordans way to encourage people to buy Premium:tup::sly:
