Haze Demo......whoah

Looks like the delays have really helped Haze step up a gear! I watched this game get hyped and hyped...then in game footage was released.....It was bad and everyone knew it! Then the game went through a number of delays, obviously to rework some issues and add a good few layers of polishto compete with the looks of titles such as COD4!. So where dose the game stand? Head and shoulders above where it was! Download the demo and see for yourself! You can instantly see where Haze is going with it's more than passing resemberlance to Halo! But it adds quite a few twists and gameplay elements with the Nectar system.
I'm not saying this is better or worse than Halo simply that it's similar....very similar LOL graphicly were not talking the gritty realisim of COD4 rater a huge amount of senery which runs so smooth it's like butter! looking at some screen shots of later locations this looks to be quite stunning. I'd gone off the idea of getting Haze but the demo has done it's job in convinceing me it's a must have!
 
OH my REMOVED BY MOD god. Are you kidding me!? The demo did nothing but cement its position as just another generic, ugly, shooter. Give me a break man. Apparantly you fell for the hype.
 
I can't say that is particulary what I expected to be when I played the demo. It was kind of lame really IMO.
 
Really? I was expecting it to be utter tripe but I really liked the demo although I don't like the spacey FPS genere at all.
 
Ive been hearing bad feedback about it also... I haven't downloaded it though... may give it a miss.

WHY OH WHY DIDNT THEY STICK TO THE TIMESPITTERS SERIES! A new story in next gen would have been amazing!
 
I was dissapointed with the demo, didn't look near as good as it did in the trailers.

The gameplay is ok, but it's just dull and didn't excite me. Just another FPS. Something about it reminded me of Halo though, but it doesn't play as good.

If you don't have high expectations for FPSs then I'm sure it'll be great.
 
I didn't like halo but bought it to play with friends on Live, this to me seems better. No million mile high jumping and it moves away from outright unreal shooting style (you know, shoot first apologise later LOL) for it to be belivable. The Nectar thing reminds me a little of far cry....another game I don't like LOL I think it's the story line which is interesting me although I did see a youtube vid of a driving section and thought it was seriously bad! Going to see what the online side is like before I jump in, Love the demo and the co-op works very well on it as well, but lots of people saying it's medicore at best which was my original view before the demo has me airing on the side of caution. GT5p, GTA IV, COD 4 and R6V2 (you got all that) is more than enough to keep any insomniac happy at the moment LOL
 
Really enjoyed this demo, its what I expected it to be, I tyhink this might be a buy for me.
 
The voice acting during fights is really, really, really cheesy. The demo really disappointed me. It has almost no cool factor, and apparently no vehicles. I doubt this game and Halo could even be mentioned in the same breath.
 
Mine gut! IGN review score of 4.5.........can it REALLY be that bad? certainly put my purchase on hold to see if this score is deserved.
