Hey guys, finally got the time to put together an HD video for you all showing the Logitech Driving Force GT Racing Wheel in action with Gran Turismo 5. I'll be doing more of these for Gran Turismo 5 as well as Formula 1 2010. :)

I did manual shifting as well (with the paddle shifters) so please don't be too critical of my racing! :P Enjoy...



I will also be posting more from GT5 and some from Formula 1 2010 as well. 👍
 
Nice! I "grind" on that track myself. I went from lvl 18 to lvl 20 in a very short time. I also earned another 1M+ in the meantime.

I didn't use my wheel while grinding however, I used the controller and set the tranny to automatic - less thinking that way. :)

What did you use to capture the video? I have the Hauppague HD PVR.

Keep up the good work. I look forward to seeing more of your videos.

Very cool, what event did you "grind" on exactly? And, did you only earn XP for racing the race over and over again because I thought you couldn't keep on earning credits once the race has been raced already (unless you do not have hold yet of course on that event.) And thanks for checking out the video! :)

Thanks for checking it out and I did my best in the race even though I bumped right in the back of some of my competitors. If it were real life, I'm sure I word hear words from them after the race. :D
 
How loud is that wheel while turning aggressively? (drifting)

I'm seriously considering getting this wheel, it's just I remember my DFP being quite loud while turning.

It's actually not that loud at all. You can still hear it, but it's not nearly as loud as I thought it would be and it's only loudest when you turn aggressively (like around a hairpin for instance.) I have experience with the wireless Xbox 360 wheel and this one is WAY better than that one.

I've earned most my credits and XP on Expert -> Turbo Challenge -> Auto...Monza 36,000 - cr 2,654 - xp takes about 5-6m 👍

You can repeat the races as many times as necessary - you continue to earn credits and XP. I think the game is designed to force you to repeat races to get to the much harder races later. I just chose to grind a bit to buy more cars and earn more credits to tune them. Just having fun.
