I will be looking to buy a HDTV soon, but unlike some people I am not looking for a 1080p 47'000 inch one. Im looking for no bigger than 26, preferably 22 or 24, and 1080i or 720p on a good deal.

So far thats what I have found, dunno if its 1080 or 720 though, but its pretty cheap so thats why its top of my list.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Budget, maximum of £350, preferably below £300.

I would strongly suggest avoiding budget brand TVs, they are often based on older panel technology and use older processing technology, and rarely represent true value for money.

Even sticking with a known brand you can stay within your budget, take this example...

...LG have a good reputation for LCD TVs and on the spec front this beats the one you posted up.

The LG above is one of last years models, and as such is being offered in a few places for a reduced price, and as such offers better value for money that the other one.

I would advise against any HDTV under 30" - I feel like you're just going to regret it.

A) don't go with a budget brand
B) smaller flat panel televisions are very versitile. I doubt you'll regret picking one up since if you decide to go bigger later, they'll likely cost less and you can still use your small one in a different part of your home.

As Scaff and Danoff have mentioned avoid buying budget TVs. If you buy cheap you buy twice.

I just had a look on play, com and found a few deals.

Toshiba Regza 26" 26C3030D HD Ready - £358.99 with free delivery.

Sony Bravia 23" KDL23B4030 HD Ready - £349.99 with free delivery

Toshiba 20" 20WLT56 HD Ready - £299 with free delivery

LG 22" Flatron M228WD HD - £249 with free delivery

I have an LG 42" TV which is used as the main TV with the smaller 23" Samsung being used for gaming. I enjoy playing on the 23" just as much as the 42". The LG TV above looks like it could be ideal for you and the reviews on play.com from customers look good.

Mines from asda, £109 it cost. Not very big, 15 or 16" but it works a treat and has SCART/vga/Y,Pb,Pr inputs, aswell as a cable input for your normal TV.

Its actually done me quite well, i didnt want anything to big as im making a racing cockpit.

But thats just my opinion. Theres a few blemishes, but barely noticable. thats LCD for you.

That's what it's really about. As long as your happy with it that's the main thing.
