Yeah, well I hope the best for him and his family. It could have been worst. He could have died.

bang out of order - I hate that kind of ****. I mean theres no need to beat up on anyone no matter what they do you can always walk away. (even if you are 6ft 8)

You see in this era I'm happy to leave well alone, its good to care but another thing to get involved.

Thats bad, a mate of mine got a bottle smashedon his head and stabbed in the back with a broken bit of it for trying to help a girl who was being harassed. I guess if I saw that happening and it was one guy I'd jump in, and maybe if it was two guy's buy I wouldn't get involved if it was a group, I'd call the police and maybe try distract them for a bit depending on the situation.

thing is you can never tell whats going to happen. I would more than likely just try to pass on by, knowing that if it were me Id hope that someone would help but its just like that.

I find it too hard to walk on too, I feel like I'd feel like I could've stopped whatver happens and my conscience wouldn't let me leave someone to get beaten up like that. I know you can't predict what will happen if you do jump in, they could have a knife or even a gun, but I still would, I just couldn't not do something.

Keep your nose out of other peoples business!
The best advice anybody can give in a situation like this.

The best thing to do in situation like this is stay out of it, be a good witness, notify the police, get the details of everything and anything. She obvisouly knew the guy, so maybe he caught her cheating on him. Maybe she did something very wrong, and this guy was trying to stop her. No excuse to ruff her up, but the guy would obvisouly be fuming mad at her for some reason which you don't know about, or he wouldn't be treating her like that.

Seems cold, and cruel, but there needs to people who can give a good account of what happened, and it sounds like the five or six people that were there could not help any other way than to name the attacker. So, it might seem like your doing nothing, but you could be doing the best thing of all. Now, if she was about to die, and it didn't sound like that was about to happen, then that would be a different story. Then, you could shoot the attacker, and not face any charges, because clearly a life was about to be taken.

From what I've read they've talked to the woman.
Yes, that's how they got his name. It sounds like she's hiding something. It sounds like she may have done something illegal, and isn't saying much to the police so she wont get busted. This is why you mind your own business.

Sad. But at least he'll recover 100%.

A few months back a man was beaten, because he warned a couple of guys not to drink and drive. They were at a gas station and he saw them walk out with some beer.

He then went up to their car and told them (I'm paraphrasing), "Hey guys, be careful OK? Don't drink and drive."

They (I think there were 3 of them) then beat him, so severely that he is now mentally retarded. If I remember right, he now has the mental capacity of a 7 year old. He forgets where he is, who he is, who his wife is, and has to learn to read all over again.

I've been trying to find the article, but I guess it's too old.

What Solid Lifters said, I totally agree. But I mean if I see a man punching or kicking a women, It would piss me the hell off, and I can't control my anger very well. Anyways I have read what you said and I agree.

So Solid Lifters, you would stay out of the way if you saw that happening?

I can't imagine taking that kind of a beating. I probably would if it were to help out someone who needed it, but hot dang! That girl needs to tell the cops what's going on because Venn stuck his neck out and could've been killed for just trying to help her.

It is truly sad but that kind of **** happens for no reason. Where i use to live a couple of my friends have been jumped for no reason. So not say that you should have a gang but when you do walk the streets at night do it with some of your friends in case something happens.

I saw this on the news last week.....Did they ever catch the guilty??
From what I've heard, they haven't found the bastard who did this, mainly because the woman won't talk with cops, likely because if she did, she'd be beaten or killed by whoever this monster is.

I normally tend to agree with the mantra of 'mind your own business' but a case like this definitley warrants an exception. Someone is in serious danger, and they desperately need help, so who are we to stand by doing absolutely nothing? We don't need to actually get directly involved, but at the very least the police should be contacted.

And who was this guy's friend who ran off when he was gettin beat to within an inch of his life? He could have at least called 911!

well generally, if you hear a women screaming in an alley near you, wouldn't you grab a baseball bat or pipe and a flashlight to go check it out? and the guy did call 911 didn't he, thats how they found him(or am i just too tired to remember correctly.)

well noone got hurt...perminately... so it is ok. i would just hate to be living in that kind of condition until he is fully healed. it's the right thing, i would have done they same. but, i probably would have found something to fight with first.

Well he did the right thing, If that was me I couldn't just ignore it even if I knew I would get hurt somehow. Its better than making you think what would happen if you just ignored it.
