Hey all. In GT4, I've always had a taste for darkened, nighttime pictures. However, PD saw fit to snub us of the feature of high beamed headlights. instead, they gave use no-beamed headlights.

I've looked at some tutorials on here, and found next to nothing.

Essentially, I'd love to be able to take something like this:

And make this:

with both the lights on, and the beams 'cutting' through the blackness.

Thank you for your patience, and your time.

I'll assume you're using Photoshop at which point, I give you this. Hope it's what you're looking for and that it helps.

Thats the tutorial i used, simple for sure.

whilst I am grateful and i did try it, no matter what i do, I can't get formed beams. all i get is a circle of light that skews everything...i don't want to sound picky or anything. Damn...I'll just keep playing around with it.

It would be hard to get the reflection and rain effects, only a very experienced chopper would be able to get it so fine.

thanks TB, we can all rely on you for tutorials!

Legendary: I mean less about the rain effect, and more about the formed beam. the Distinct "triangle" that forms from the headlight out. I realize that is is there predominantly due to the extreme water, but I've seen em whilst watching le Mans in the dry too. Googled hath failed me this time, I can't find a decent one.

cant you just slap an airbrush around that area to get that effect?

you're talking to a photoshop noob. I don't know a whole damned lot about anything.

all helpful, none of what i so desire...

I know of a few good 'shoppers on other sites.I'll ask there. this is basically the reason i got PS, and now i can't find a way to damned well do it...

This is the best I can do in under 2 minutes. :)

not bad, actually. I'll crank up the contrast to bring out the headlights, down the brightness a bit, and I bet it'll look decent. not exact, but better than what i could get.
