[Headphones] Sony Studio headphones (MDR-V150)

I got these headphones with another purchase and was pleasantly surprised. I was surprised again when I saw it didn't get as great reviews than I thought it would. Anyway, when I was growing up I had mostly Sony crap that kept breaking partly because they were cheap but because Sony has never been know for reliability (at least for me) even on their expensive stuff.

For awhile now I've been a heavy Sennsheiser fan for great quality at a decent price. I have PX100s ($50) and CX-300s ($50). At $20 for these Sony headphones I'm pretty impressed at how well they do compared to my PX100s since they cost twice as much. The Sony's are a bit more comfortable since the cans are a bit bigger. A lot of people that own PX100s complain about seal and fitment because of the size of the cans even though I thought of them as "portable" cans because they fold up. Can't have your cake and eat it too. :dopey:

Anyway, the highs and lows are clear without sounding like it's coming out of a hall which some people like me complain about the EX71 buds. For the price I'd definitely recommend these headphones if you are on a budget. 👍

Whether they would last as long as Senns is another story though...
 
Thanks for the quick review. I intend to buy a headphone to use on my computer soon, but I don't have much (if any) money to spend on it. This one seems like a good option. 👍
 
Glad I could help. If it makes you feel any better, Warren Sap of the Raiders also has these headphones. I saw it on the news recently. :lol:

I think this is my first post here in these forums. Yeah... my debut. Anyhow, I have two of the MDR-V150 headphones. I got the second one because the abuse my older model took (1 year, 3 months) was taking its toll. These are cheaply-priced and durable headphones. Also some very nice sound quality. Wicked headphones.
 
I bought a set of these a while ago for computer use (when turning on speakers would not be an option). I do agree that they are pretty good for their price but when it comes to audio quality, i still prefer my CX300's. Ive heard the PX100's on various ocasions but i havent had enough time with them to come to a clear conclusion as to which are better compared to these sony's.

But yes i agree with DWA and i do recomend these. With price, comfort, and audio quality in mind, i recomend these over the MDREX71's (i didnt like them very much)
