Hey guys, just thought id say hi and introduce myself. My name is Travi_D (well it says so on my licence plates) and i am relativley new to the GT community, having only recently bought a PS2. I am traditionally a nintendo buff through and through, but got a bit tired of their lack of titles, so i shelved the 'cube to pursue new things, and a im soooo glad i did. GT3 is absolutley awesome. That doesnt mean i'm any good at it, but i'm trying.

I am slowly working up my skills and my garage, having almost completed the whole beginners league. My fave cars in my garage at the mo are my T.M.E Evo, V spec r32 GTR and a slightly uncontrollable 810hp Viper. I also have an RX-8 and a evo rally car waiting for their turns to shine.

Well I've bored you enough. I hope to maybe one day contribute something that sounds smart, but i dont want to get the ol' hopes up for fear of failure.

Well well welll.. A nice formal introduction 👍

Welcome to our little hideout, I'm sure you'll find the place very very interesting ;) And don't worry, I suck at GT3 as well.. I'm just here for the fun :trouble:

Cheers, and again, Welcome !..

Before someone else says something nasty, remember to read the TOS and the AUP, and use the search button ;)

Ok, you win for best introduction thread title! That was a trip.

Welcome to GTP, keep this attitude and I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay, learn a lot and get along just fine!

welcome, ill give you a tip, if you didnt know already when using the skylines or any high powered turbo car, dont just buy stage 4 turbo because it has the most horse, use a stage 3 you will be able to run much better laps and keep your car on the course better as well. but other than that welcome To GTPlanet

Thanks for the response guys. Don't worry about the stage 4 turbo's on the skyline, its only a stage two, i cant afford anything more. I have also learned about dynamis and handling being at least just as important, if not more than power. My Viper is living proof. Just touch the accelerator out of a corner, and you'll be looking at the skid marks you just left.

Welcome and try out the weekly race series when you feel ready, it can improve your driving skill A LOT. I've only been doing it about 4 weeks, and already I am getting faster times.

Welcome Travi_D! enjoy the stay at GTP. Tips: Don't buy an Escudo (Suzuki) unless you use Famine's settings. The Vertigo is one of the most potent racers you have never heard of. (Win it at the Amateur European Champ.) And don't sell too many cars for quick cash. Example: Trueno S.S.; Spoon Civic, Spoon S2000.BTW, love the thread title. 👍

Welcome to GTP, you may find that the GT series and this site start to take over your life. Sorry 'bout that, but once you start its very hard to stop.

On the subject of your Viper, wait until you get your hands on the TVR Speed 12, same sort of power but much lighter.

Have fun and keep with it.
