Been wanting to start a series for some time now, but haven't really had any good ideas. I got a good idea today....
I'm thinking either 8 or 16 drivers. These drivers would go into a private lobby. Each week a different track would be selected for the races, as well as a new type of car class or carry over of car class, most likely only PP limited. There would be votes probably. That way anyone interested would have a week to prepare and practice. Then people would be paired up at random to race 1 on 1 for a small number of laps, 2 or 3. The loser would be eliminated. The winner would move on to the next bracket. We would continue until there is only one left. Losers could stay and watch if they want. The kicker that would make this really interesting... bets. Now I think that in game cars could work, maybe some sort of pink slip type deal. Or if there is enough interest, real money. Via paypal probably, a small sum, maybe $5 or $10. Maybe eventually a heavy hitter race with more at stake. I think winner take all would be fair, after all, second place is the first loser.
Think about it, 8 people, $5 entry, winner leaves with $40 for probably one hour of his/her time. 8 people, $10 entry, winner leaves with $80 for one hour of their time. 16 people, $10 entry, winner leaves with $160.... I'm sure you get the point.
I don't know if this is in breach of some sort of rules anywhere, if it is well we can forget the $$$$ and just have some fun. If any of you are like me, and lap for an hour just trying to shave a few tenths or half a second off your best time..... why not put your money where your mouth is?
This is just a feeler idea..... post your thoughts.
Thanks
