Heh, I almost cut the tip of my index finger off.

I was cutting up some box-section (square-shaped hollow steel) with the hacksaw in metalwork, I was getting tired and slowed down a bit, the blade slipped out of the cut (it wasnt very deep at the time) and sliced the top of my index finger on my left hand. If I was cutting at full bore, I probably would've cut at least into the bone.

Just thought I'd share.

Nah, I was cutting away, then noticed my finger twinging, I looked and it was all red. It wasn't all that painful, just a sort of "What the hell? When did that happen?" injury.
 
Once slipped using the bandsaw. Nearly took my thumb off.

My question is, how did you get that far with a hacksaw?
 
Ouch... but thats nouthing i shot myself in the finger with a .22cal (5.5mm)Co2 pellet. it broke the bone and tour off my finger nale. then the doc broke the bone again taking it out. if my web cam worked i would put up a pic. O i for got b4 any of you aks (how did you shoot yourself) i was drunk

Do you need to get it stitched up? Keep it clean, Ya don't wanna get an infection.
 
In graphics we were cutting duct tape with sharp as scissors and the dumb arse decided to cut my finger not the tape and I had a large chunk out of it. - With scissors :odd:

My finger was right next too the blade, and it slipped out. I did some welding (braising actually) today, quite unnerving getting you fingers close to a flame in excess of 3000 degrees C. :eek:
 
I got my right middle finger cut off in a hospital door when I was 4.;) Not the whole thing, but from that little knuckle thing(:odd:) below the nail on up.:irked:

Luckily I was already at the hospital when it happened so they just took me upstairs, and I sat on a table while the doctor stitched it back on.:lol: I probably have a few pictures of me flipping the camera off with my bandages still on.:p
 
Well if its ne constalation ive have had 6 open heart operations in my 14 year life. so i kinda know what its like to be in pain.
