Helicopter tours with jacking the chopper

Okay, here's a question, possibly a stupid one. I haven't played in months, and I'm starting to mop up everything I need to complete 100% and get some more Xbox achievements done.

How do I take a helicopter tour without jacking the helicopter? When I walk up to one of those yellow helis to take a ride, I get a message like "Press Y to take a ride, it will cost you $150". But when I hit "Y", Niko always justs pulls the pilot out and steals the helicopter. I am I doing something stupid or what?

Also, this place is pretty deserted, huh?

Have you tried doing the same as the taxis where you have to hold down the button until he gets in as a passenger?

Haha, I'll try that. That might also explain why when I go out drinking with someone in the game and I don't feel like running into the cops and having to drunkenly escape them on the way home, I can never flag down a cab, I always end up stealing them.

Yah it's a pain when you want to take a cab and he starts to actually take the cab.
