Yep, its sequel time.

I throughly enjoyed the first movie. It wasn't a knock your socks of adventure, but rather an enjoyable "I could watch it again" movie.

So now the second one looms into the picture. With most movies like the first one (Tremors, anyone?) the second one will be a big failure.

Why is it that I hope this movie will step up the game, but I certainly expect it not to?

The golden army sounds like something the Queen would have lol, but thanks for telling us about the 2nd Hellboy movie.

I wasn't a huge fan of the first movie, but I would agree that it is one that you could watch quite often as entertainment. I think part of the problem is that Hellboy isn't a well-known comic-book character like Spider-Man or Batman, thus most average folks who have some baisic knowlege of comics don't really know whats going on.

I'm excited for the sequel, as I think the franchise still has plenty of life in it, but I would be cautious on entry. Not many people thought the first one was going to be all that great, but the reviews were beyond exelent, and the movie made a ton of money. Could it be repeated again? Maybe, but as we saw with X-Men, a bigger budget doesn't guarantee success anymore...

I enjoyed it at the theather, but thinking about it afterwards, realized there wasn't much there. Definitely a decent popcorn-only flick. The production design was lavish, though, and I hope this one continues that, as I'll probably just watch this one for the eye-candy.

I have Hellboy that I picked up used at Blockbuster a year or two back, but still haven't sit down to watch it yet. Maybe I should..

Its a good movie. I know I bought it the day it came out on DVD, and I really don't regret that $15 purchase.

I liked the film. I liked Ron Perlman's dead-pan performance. Sure it's not that great, but it was fun in a harmless and simple way. I'd watch the sequel, but probably on DVD (or Blu-ray if it makes it onto it).

Hated the first one. I think I'll skip the follow-up. Good music on the first one though.
