Despite me thinking it was going to be yet another ultra crappy comic book to movie transition, a group of my best friends convinced me to go with them to watch it yesterday. Gotta say, it wasn't too bad. They did a moderately good job at the movie though they were more than a bit conservative in the plot. Left lots of holes open for a potential sequel. It almost felt as though they were just *trying* to see whether or not the movie would work out.
As I said, lots of plot holes, much of the stuff has been done before but the execution of everything is good. A lot of light humor placed at just the right places and a bit of drama here and there kept the movie from coming off as a pure action movie. Overall, I liked it... though I'm split 50/50 as to whether or not it was worth the $13.50 canadian for the tickets to see it. In a way it was worth going out yesterday because it gave me a chance to spend time with some of my closest friends who I haven't seen in months.
I'd definately reccomend this one as a rental when it hits dvd though 👍
