Hi!

I have been reading this site for quite a long time now, and few weeks ago I decided to join the gang. As you possibly allready noticed, english is not my native language, so I hope you guys can tolerate some bad english and a few typos. :)

Anyway, I am a huge fan of this series and I hope this will take my hobby to another level, as I can now discuss GT issues with you guys! :sly:

I'm 20 years old and I live in Finland.

Hopefully I'll fit in.

Welcome to GTP Arnold, I'm sure you already know but there's a whole lot more to this site than Gran Turismo, and there's tonnes of information to be found 👍.

Your English is just fine buddy 👍, Welcome to the gang.

And watch out for TM, his puns can drive you crazy

Ciao!

Welcome to GTPlanet!

As with a few people here, you Finnish always seem to put many native English speakers to shame. You really aren't that bad at all.

As you probably already know, the FAQ and Sticky threads in the GT Forums, are more helpful than anything, so be sure to check them out. :)

Welcome to GTP, Arnold. Enjoy your stay. If I fit in here, you'll be just fine. And don't worry about your English. Your English is better than my Finnish will ever be.

...and a heck of a lot better than many native-speakers bother with on this site.

Welcome to GTPlanet! Learn something from us, teach something to us, and have a great time here.

Welcome to GTP..... [badtranslation]Kuinka ajaa te kuin se tähän?[badtranslation] :D

Kuinka ajaa te kuin se tähän? = How to drive you like it here? Erm... lost the point...

But anyway, I see it as my responsibility to welcome a fellow countryman here. Let's keep the flag flying! 👍

How do you like it here? = Mitäs pidät tästä paikasta?

Not a direct translation but it's the best way to get the message across.

Welcome to GTPlanet!

Remember to read the AUP
Also, your english is very good in my opinion.

From,
Chris.

Welcome to the madhouse!

Users MadHypello and RSCosworth taught me some words in Finnish.
Strutsi. Vittu. Ripuli. Tissi. Tynny.

Watch out for Famine.

I learnt this from my mom:

Mi narracasta sinua?? something like that. It's supposed to mean "I love you very much"

or how about, hasta pasca?

Ciao!

Damn these foreigners...

Ultrabeat, I wouldn't advice you to repeat those words if you ever come to Finland... first you will be stared at like you were an alien, then you will probably be arrested as a drunk. :p

Ozzy gets a cracker, the first sentence is pronounced quite similarly to the original and it actually means "I love you." This "hasta pasca", on the other hand, is also pronounced approximately correctly but it means "**** you"...

This is turning out to be fun!

Wah, I can't handles the Finns! There's just too many.

Anayway, welcome to GTP Tuuba, or Arnold, and I hope you have a good time. Obviously you've met some fellow countrymen. Don't worry about fitting in, everyone fits in here. See you around!
