Hello GTPlanet!

My name is Matthew and i reside in Nashville TN. I am currently a senior in college and play GT5 in my seldom downtime. I found GTPlanet when searching on how to manipulate B-Spec to my liking. I found this very amusing thread about a week ago and have been reading random posts ever since.

I have been playing racing games since i can remember. My first game was called MegaRace on DOS. Then i moved on to Need For Speed II-SE and all those other good oldies. I have been playing GT since GT3 on the PS2. I have always had an interest in cars since i was a boy. Hence the ID name: I had a fascination with the Bugatti EB110 when i was younger and when AIM came out for the first time when i was in like 7th grade; that was my screen name. (I guess thats my way a justifying that i didn't just jump on the Veyron bandwagon.) Anyway.... I have never driven with a steering wheel, I'm sure there would be a fantastic learning curve for me, but i'm always open for something new. Other games that i play include, The Fallout Series and Fifa.

Now for the main reason i signed up.

I have never raced online before, and believe me i am a very average player. Thus i would like to be part of a network of people whom i can have competitive races with and still be able to keep up, cause no one likes to be that guy at the back... and they always seem to be driving a Lister, Do you ever notice that? ha. Anyway my friends in GT5 and PSN for that matter is a grand total of 0. So if we ever see the light of PSN opening up again, someone average be my friend! hah

Thanks,

Welcome to GTP Matthew  If you are interested in racing online, there are may good events posted here. The 2 I regularly participate in are the inter divisional online racing and Track Creator Racing which both have lots of good fun, clean racing with friendly guys and girls.

If you are interested in improving and learning from some of the fastest people around as well as competing with others of a similar standard, check out the Weekly Race Series forum and get involved, that's how I started and I have been hooked on GTP since, not to mention improving my speed immeasurably.

Welcome. I'll add you as soon as the planet get back to it's axis....

And I'm certainly much more average than you. :p

DGiant2000- Thanks for the info, i'll be sure to check it out. and by the way, you might have one of the most frighting avatar pics i've seen! haha

Dan - Oh we'll see. :dunce:

Gatti Out!
