well, first i'd say to read that over and try to make sense of it. (mostly the last part of it.)
And second, I'm fairly new here myself so I can't tell you everything. You should go to the second post in this forum and look at the section called "Who to listen to" and listen to them cause they know what they're doing. I mean, seriously, these guys are good.

But anyway, I assume you're doing race drifting. (trying to go around the track as fast as possible while drifting) If this is the case, I don't think I'll be much of a help as I mostly go for style (as well as most other people around here) All I can think of for race drifting is to keep going over the track over and over getting to know each turn (how fast to approach it, when to start turning, etc., etc.) As far as the tires, I don't think I can help much for race drfting. Maybe someone else has some more insight as to what you're asking.

Have you ever tried going for style instead of speed? It's much more entertaining IMO. If you haven't I'd say to go for it. You'll probably find more information around here about that rather than race drifting. There are a number of FAQ's lying around here and tons of settings.

I am not a "1337 dr1ft3r" or anything (I still consider myself a newb and still have lots of learning to do), so I am not trying to criticize you at all for asking questions, but...

Why would you challenge someone as good as battle_stage without knowing how to fully drift?

More power to you for stepping up to the plate for a good ole' ass-whoopin'! ;)

is it that difficult to drift? i mean some people make it seem impossible or something. I mean i may not be a pro but im not a amateur, just get some seat time and correct your mistakes.

To be able to control your drift, not just drift around a turn but to change your line during a long drift, that is hard. For me anyways...

I dont think its a smart idea for a n00b to challenge a master.

The best way to improve drifting is to PRACTICE. people can try to help you but your better off learning yourseld.

yes learn yourself and perfect in your own unique habit and style.Challenging and getting owned is not one of that way lol.

If you may allow an outsider to butt in for a moment...

nissan300zx, we always love to have new members come on over to our forum, but please type using proper English, so that people can understand your posts without giving themselves a headache. Nobody will hold you to every single grammar mistake you make, but if you could use periods, avoid run-on sentences, take a little bit more care with your grammar and spelling, etc., then that'd make things nice and good. :)

I was going to post something along those lines also lol ...

Anyways nissan300zx, it seems like you want to exhibition drift, except faster, right? Probably the best thing to do is take some settings from the Drift Settings Depot that we have here and try some of those settings. In the thread, there is a huge variety of drift settings, starting with moderately how hp cars to high hp cars. You can look around and see if any of the settings work for you.

As for your mixture of tires, it may be better if you put only one kind of tire both in the front and in the rear. It will keep the car more stable so that you will not spin out as much.

If you post your settings, then we can give you suggestions on what to do to your car to make it drift.

Hope that helps! :)

that is not a good tire combo to work with when you're trying to drift. i recommend using Normal Tires front and back... can't really give you much advice but KEEP PRACTICING!
