This is a long shot, but, I'm hoping someone knows somewhere in Melbourne where I can go and try on a Shoei, AGV, Arai, Nolan, and Shark helmet, all in the one store.

I've tried on a couple of helmets, so far only Shoei have fitted, but I must know before putting $600/$700 for a helmet if the other brands aren't as good, or if they fit just as well, which has the most bang for your buck, etc.

Try Peter Stevens, AMX or Bikemart. They're the big 3 that I can think of off the top of my head. Peter Stevens has a larger range than AMX but cost more (sometimes). I haven't been to bikemart but they're meant to be pretty good.

Where in Melbourne are you? If you're in the city Peter Stevens is the easiest to get to.

Out east a bit, and there's a Peter Stevens not 10 minutes from me, which I went to, to try on Arai (too narrow), Shark (too tall?) and Shoei (so far just right), but I still want to check Nolan and AGV, and Peter Stevens do have the AGV I want in my size in stock 'somewhere' but I want to try it before I buy it. Might have to call up the other stores and ask 'are you the store with this in stock?'.

I'll investigate AMX, I did find Bikemart, but something knocked them off the list, I'll double check and edit post to see why.

EDIT: Don't know why I didn't find Bikemart they are right next to the store I bought my Motorcycle from?!? I didn't even notice them there, I think I was thinking of another name that was an online only mob, I'll have to check them out tomorrow.

There's an AMX reasonably close too, pretty average website, they don't list AGV so I'll give them a call and possibly check them out.

thanks very much btw!

EDIT 2: Went to Bikemart, no AGV Grid in S :( but I saw the Shoei I ordered and fell in love with it, so happy ending, I'll just have to check out AGV next time, after I crash ;)

I've bought virtually everything run out, suit, helmet and boots, the gloves weren't but anyway. This second post helped my investigation and purchase, hope this helps others.
