DOES ANYBODY KNOW "THE RACE" THAT EARNS YOU 1BHP AFTER EVERY RACE ? IF IT EXISTS, BECAUSE I REALLY WANT TO GET MY R34 GT-R TO 811BHP :nervous:! i'm currently sitting on 797bhp and i want the rest of it, if anyone can help me i'll gladly help you with anything GT5 wise :) i'll even give out my Black Edition tune to anyone that helps best run is 9.086 !

Any race will give you more horsepower. This is known as "breaking-in". This is where the more miles you have, the more your engine will 'develop', thus receiving more horsepower. I believe you'll get to the maximum amount around 180 miles, correct me if I'm wrong anyone.

hey, thanks for the fast reply, appreciate it. But ive seen cases of 800+hp on R34's. Mine is broken in, its done 499.830 miles. i guess it might be a tune ? ive heard a race gives you more power but i'm not 100% sure.

you're correct.

yeah, ive had the car since December 2010, oil's been changed 103 times, does anybody have a 797+hp R34 ?

like i said, ive had the car for over a year and a half. so ive rebuilt it numerous times, thanks anyway. :)

i didnt see this in the post, but to make sure your car is being "broken in", make sure that tire wear is on during online races. that factor makes sure you clock mileage on the engine.

i have 500miles/800km's on the car, do you recommend something ? yes i have changed the oil, yes i have rebuilt the engine.

Once you car reaches a certain amount of miles you will actually begin to lose HP that can't be reclaimed.

You can restore the car than race on route x with tire ware/fuel consumption
Im pretty sure it works because i have 909hp on the gt1 my friend 924 and thats what he did.
So check it out if you like that car so much use the restore ticket. Do about 5 lap with fuel consumption and tire wear online. If your that into it 10. Kinda point less to do 10 but what the hell.

yes, and once you lose that power, you rebuild the engine. Why is everybody repeating each other...

Ok what i do is when i get a car and i want it to have 0 miles on it...
1. Copy GT5 save data to a usb flash drive
2. Get into the car then use a "refresh ticket" on that car
3. Send to another account
4. Copy GT5 save data from the usb back onto the ps3...
5. The next day go onto the other account and send yourself the car...
When you do that this way you won't lose your refresh ticket
All you will have to do is break it in again...
I still need to do this to my first red bull... I have over 650k miles on it... It has lost almost 200HP but i will have to permanent borrow it... Should only take me about a hour and ten minutes to do...

Also after you send the car back to yourself... Make sure you give it a car wash and oil change before breaking it in

thanks, i'll give it a go, and by any chance do you have a fully broken in R33 GT-R ? if so how much power are you getting out of it ? thanks much appreciated :)

No i haven't broken in mine yet... I have made it a cruising car a very fast cruising car that is... But it still has 0 miles on it... I want it to stay that way too... That is in my opinion the best one ever made... The sound is just godly... I have also made it a mid-night purple edition with matching rims

LOOOL ! yeah !. no dont mind the mileage on it. i want it to go over 797hp

Well just follow those steps and i almost forgot to mention i break in my cars either doing 80 laps on Daytona or 11 laps on route x... Lately route x is way faster than Daytona

The only cars I've ever broke in were my Enzo, my Viper, My RM Corvette and my Veyron.

Out of the thousand that I have.

Even after a rebuild it doesn't always help, in fact it seems to make your engine lose power faster, that's in my exp at least.

Break it in to get peak hp, do oil changes when it drops power, when it starts losing power even after oil changes then refresh engine, when that doesn't get you to peak hp anymore then use a restore ticket or buy a new car.
