The commands in B-Spec, do you have to spam them every time that blue countdown indicator goes off, or does it stay on that command until you select a different one?

E.g. Say I wanted him to just Pace upwards the whole race, do I have to select it every time the blue bar indicator disappears?

Is there any advice you can give me for creating a new driver, like what stats is the best to get? Whats the worst?

What pace is the driver going when you do not select anything at all?

For the used car dealer, how often does it update? Is it completely random or every successful race you complete?

Your B-spec commands stay effective for about 10-20 seconds after issuing them.
How long they're effective is based upon the basic temper of your driver.

If he's a cool driver, he'll listen to your commands for a longer time, and the bar won't move on it's own as fast.

However, if he's hot, your commands will have a shorter duration, and the bar will move alot faster during races.

So basically, it depends on how independent you want your driver to be.
Hot drivers will shift alot faster to the red portion of the bar as soon as they're close to another driver. However, they will also become calmer alot faster once they've put some distance between them and the other drivers.

A cool driver will, well, race more calmly, and won't get as stressed up by having other cars around him. If you're planning to afk-spec, this will be a better choice for starting out.

However, by personal experience, I've noticed that hot drivers perform alot better once they're above lvl 30 and their drivingskills compensate for their agressiveness.

As long as they're at the lower levels, let's say <15, try to not let them get into the red area too much. They won't be driving with soft racingtyres by those levels, thereby they'll spin out like mad.

The used car dealer updates about every 5 races, sometimes less often or more often.
There's a particular trick you can use to update the used car pond if you so choose thou.

I have one more question that I am not fully sure on still.

Say I issue a command to PACE up. The timer appears, but what happens when that timer ends. What mode will the driver go into?

The driver will still be in "pace up" mode for 10-20 seconds after that timer has dissapeared. What mode he ends up in after that depends on the current situation.

If you choose "pace down" he'll still be in pace down mode for 10-20 seconds as well after the timer has dissapeared.

After these 10-20 seconds thou, his AI non-existent brain picks up, leading to the following:

If he's close to another car, he'll keep pacing up.
If he has a good distance between himself and the other cars, he'll pace down.

This creates a little dilemma. If you manage to put a good lead between the B-spec driver and the opponents, he'll start pacing down until he's all the way at the bottom.

Great, no more mistakes, right?
Well, yeah, however, he'll drive alot slower, wich in some cases might even lead to the other drivers catching up.

I've found this to be a much bigger problem with my "cool" driver than my "hot" driver. Where the cool driver will lose ~6-7 seconds off of his best lap pace if left to his own devices, my hot driver will only drop ~3 seconds.

So yeah, I think there's a balance there, as far as afk-spec drivers go.
