Help, Can't Collect A Gift.

So yeah, to put it simply, my friend sent me a gift car before PSN went down for a long while, and today, I went and tried to collect it, but when I click, "Accept", It doesn't go anywhere, and just stays on the listing, and the red symbol near community also stays there. Does anyone know of such ways on how to remove this?

Get someone to send you something else and click receive all or whatever it says. You'll receive all the gifts including the "stuck" ticket.
 
OK somewhere there is another thread like this. I had a 1000 ticket I received and when I hit the Receive button, it did nothing, but the small red and white star would blink a little each time I hit the receive. I tried to shut the system down, I shut it off, I tried everything.
What made it work was I had someone send me a low priced car and now when I had two items it worked when I clicked the Receive button. But 2 or 3 times nothing happened. When I started to swear at it, it received all and no more problems.

I have that problem and did what everybody said on this page and it never worked. I tried it 2 days ago. It's been like this since we've been able to log back on to PSN. It's going to be something PD has to fix in the future. I'm sure there are tons of people in the same boat as us. :grumpy:
 
This seems to be happening quite frequently. I'll be posting here what I've posted on another similar thread.

The vehicle in question may exceed the 1,000,000 credit limit for free car gift tickets (specific car tickets). You can only send and receive cars whose value is less than 1,000,000 credits. So in essence, if the vehicle's value is over 1,000,000 credits, then the vehicle should not have been able to be sent to you in the first place.

If The previous statement is not true, then try these tips:

-Try clearing your system cache (Options>Other>Network>Clear System Cache).

-Quit the game to the XMB, then re-enter the game.

-Turn off your PS3 normally (via the XMB), then reboot and try again.

-Turn off all other devices on your network (i.e. printers, portable devices, etc.). The may be causing some interference with you network. Probably not even need to be mentioned, but worth a try.

-A part of your file installation may have been corrupted. Unistall the data via the utility in Gran Turismo 5's options menu (Options>Other>Utilities>Delete Game Data). Then pre-install the game data again (Options>Other>Utilities>Pre-Install Game Data). Back up your save file first. This should only delete your install data and leave your save data, replay data, preferences, update data, photo data, and track maker data still on your HDD. Only try this as a last resort.

-Your internet connection may be experiencing connection problems. Try turning off any routers, modems and your PS3, then wait approximately 1-5 minutes, then turn them back on again starting with your modem. Wait until the modem is fully booted and running, then turn on any routers you may be using, starting with the one closest to your modem. Wait for all your routers to boot fully. Then turn on your PS3 and try again.

-Try having your friend gift you special paint items, or other items in his/her items list (i.e. car upgrades). Make sure that you and your friend backup your save games before attempting this.

You also may want to back up your game save regularly. These are the tips I can think of from the top of my head.
