You might be going to fast or too slow. Another factor that plays a big role in drifting is throttle control and amount of c/s you are using. That's all I can really think of. Try to find some videos with all the things on the screen, throttle and braking, the lil steering wheel, speedometer, ect. and use that as a guide to help you a little.

I suggest you use a stock S14 with sims and 2-way LSD. It's very slow so you can get used to the speed, but at the same time very slidable. If your having problems with this, add me on AIM and I'll try to help you more ;)

i dunno if its just me....but check your writing and organization.

you can do it! lol...

hey tabs i sent u a pm regarding ur previous post. Also for drifting i just thought of this now. Try using a wheel if you have access to one it helped me alot. controller eh... :scared:

Yeah well i'm trying I'm getting help from MdnIte and nightkids4ever :sly: I still haven't done one successful drift or so just keep spinning out but eventually I will do it. My brother got me into this because he was trying to drift learning by himself. He said if I do one drift and make it hes gonna slap me. Hes been trying to drift for like a month now I started a week ago. :dopey:

since you said you were actually a noob...your number one problem is the throttle control. when you start sliding, going full at it with the accelerator aint gonna help, if you feel too much slide is coming--ease up on the gas. another thing is your entrance speed...as you keep doing it, youll know how to estimate and get the feel of your traction (knowing if your tires can handle the slide and regaining grip.)

its all about precision man 👍

Like someone said earlier grab yourself a S14 on sim's. The s14 is a vary balanced car, I wish I had known to start out with it but, none the less its a good drift car to start out with and stay with.If you want a setup for it just ask me I have a pretty good one, atleast its good for me.

Ya I got a S14 with sims and the 2 way LSD(I Drift better with it somehow) Its stock so I cant change anything I'm making progress thx everyone for helping out :)

or try a trueno and mess around with that. My basic setting for most cars are as followed

Spring Rate 11/9
Ride Height around 89/89
shock bound 7/7
shock rebound 7/7
camber 3/2
toe 0/0
stabilizers 1/1
brake balance 14/24
LSD and gear i leave stock
ASM 0
TSC 0

thats just a base i use for every car, then i adjust them as needed. Hope this helps

I think u should change the auto to 19. so that the car pushes you through the drift. For me if i leave it stock. I lose to much RPM's during a drift, thats why i recomend you change it.

Listening to Initial D music helps. It does. Really!

Correct... Initial D music is the number one thing you should be focused on...

That's probably your main problem... Not enough Eurobeat...

;)

SD, Don't do that man! I almost spit out my orange juice!!

Konig: That's actually a very logical place to start, except for the LSD settings. But that's just a personal prefference.

What do you guys mean?... Eurobeat is tHE RoXXoRZ sUper 133T HapPy GoOD timeS...

I think SD is serious about the euro beat stuff. I know it helps me with drifting. Makes me all hyper :) Hyper.

No, don't think so. He's always stated how annoying it is to him when people use it in videos and what not. So He's being very sarcastic here. Correct me if I'm wrong SD.

Of course I was being sarcastic... It's about as obvious as a cheap toupe...

I'm not a big fan of most all pop music... Over-simplified formulaic garbage in my opinion...

Back to topic guys...

;)

Swat: After your next drift session come back and give us some details about what you're having problems with and WHEN these problems occur. Right now all we know is that sometimes you oversteer too much and sometimes you understeer too much. Sounds like you need to work on your lines by the brief description you gave, but let us know some details and we'll help you out.

Of course, practicing sound technique is the best teacher(as far as GT3 goes)
