Hello all,
i have a strange problem with my new wheel on this game, with every set-up i tried every car slides left and right when i push the throttle pedal, even if i am starting to accelerate and i am not at full speed. Moreover the brake pedal doesn't work as expected: if i i brake the braking is not responsive and is very slow (even setting the brake sensitivity to 100).
Other games like dirt rally, assetto corsa and gran turismo don't give me this issue, i'm encountering it only in PC2.
Please can you suggest me what to do to drive decently on this game? (i am @ version 7.10)
Thanks in advance
P.s.: The game recognizes my wheel as T300 RS (the switch on the base is set to "other") and i cannot switch to "custom" settings in the config and in FFB tab

Can't help with the wheel as I own a TX (xbox equivalent of the T300)

I guess you're on ps4 as you mentioned GTsport?
There is no custom setting on console version of PC2 so you only get the 3x default settings.

As for your calibration, make sure you actually start the game via the wheel (not a controller) then go to the calibration screen & calibrate your pedals & wheel correctly.

If you have done all this correctly already then I can't help anymore, sorry.

Yeah i am on PS4, i have done what you suggested me, indeed starting the game without controller, like i do with the other games, and i have this issue only on PC2. Thanks anyway for your post man, i hope someone else owning my wheel can help me

Calibrate @Mr Grumpy, calibrate. ;) :)

and i cannot switch to "custom" settings in the config and in FFB tab
It's only the PC version that has the custom options. The PS4 just has the presets. Which FFB setting are you trying?

Regarding your problem though, are you perhaps suffering from the effect of cold tyres? PC2 tyre physics do take a couple of laps to get any grip from the rubber. It can be very slippy until then. Also set the weather to summer to benefit from the extra heat.

i m trying "Informativo" FFB, and i set up the daedzone and so on basing on suggestions taken over the net, but man, thrust me, its almost impossible to drive, i tried laFerrari on Monza circuit, the wheel is very heavy, very difficult to steer, my brake pedal works like i didn't press it, terrible slow and not responsive.. moreover when i press the throttle the car start sliding left and right.
i don't know if you have same wheel as mine, can you anyway suggest me some settings for the deadzones tab and the ffb tab? waiting for your reply at this point i don't know if i have to look for best settings for T300RS (PC2 recognizes my TGT as T300RS) or these settings are not siutable for my wheel and i have to search for T-GT specific settings for PC2... aww anyone here has my wheel?
thanks for now, IfAndOr =)

i don't know if you have same wheel as mine
No, I have a G29 so my settings won't necessarily work with your wheel. However I did find informative immersive heavy at times. I have now gone back to raw 90, 35, 60, 0. It's the volume setting that controls the heaviness of the wheel (centering force).
I'd recommend not having any dead zone (zero) with a wheel. Also try a low powered car first it might help. The Ferrari has various driving aids which may not be having the desired effect.

@Krypton78 I remember you have a T-GT. Can you perhaps help @hEEk? After you got it recognised (with the PS button) did you get it working well?

thank you very much for suggesting your FFB settings man, i tried but wheel was heavy with 90 gain and 35 volume, so i lowered gain to 75 and volume to 20. effects are set to 0 as you suggested to me. and tone i set up to 60 like your config.
i set up also no deadzones (indeed it was set-up with all 0 in my current config).
i tried to drive with a mini countryman rx and feeling was better, but the car slides away in the 2 curves standing after the first 2 chicanes, no way to adjust it, i thought to change the tone value but i still can't figure how to drive on these 2 curves without losing adherence. it's crazy, because i had found a set up allowing me to drive good into those two ones, but i decided to change again (don't remember why) and now i forgot that config and can't drive well also with that mini car.
i thank you again for advicing Kripton78, who i suppose has my same wheel, to help me.
really i don't know what to do
if i am going crazy with a mini car i wonder how crazy i will get with more powerful cars like ferrari and so on...
hope to get some help asap, ciao!

@IfAndOr
Yes I have a TGT also and I tried PC2 only once with it. It worked instantly correct when I set the mode to "others" and recognized it as T300. But @hEEk did this already.
I'm sorry I have really no idea what is going wrong.

@Krypton78
you played just a day with PC2?
Your drive was good? Testing it with more cars? No sliding when pressing the throttle?
If its correct, could you give me your settings for ffb and different sensitivities (speed, brakes, wheel)?
It could help me, thank you

Those Rally cross cars can be quite crazy too. Lot's of horsepower! Perhaps a lower powered road car might be a better option to get things started.

It does seem odd that you keep spinning out when pressing the throttle. Does it happen on straight sections or is only in corners?

Have you definitely calibrated your pedals via this screen?

CONTROL SCHEME
Wheel and pedals ranges should be defined using the Calibrate Wheel and Calibrate Pedals options: follow the instructions on-screen carefully to advance through the process.

Man, thank you for all your support, i already had calibrated all, wheel and pedals, luckily i found a good config for my t-gt yesterday and so i started to play "for real" =)
I can say i am having good feedback from the wheel, at the moment i am 25th in the world leaderboard as regards to Monza circuit driving a Ford Focus Rs RX and i am training to improve my time, personally i like time trials better than normal races, and it's very cool that you can save your time and see it in the screen once synchronized.
I am using informative ffb as raw made the wheel more heavy, with the same parameters of gain, volume, tone and fx.
I havent the game opened now but i remember i set 75, 20, 80, 36 for ffb, 0 for all deadzones, 50 for all sensitiveness except for wheel one set to 70 and 100 for the brakes.
Actually my driving assistance is set to real, so very little assistment but i am being familar with driving.
I have underlined my settings here to help anyone owning my same wheel and having the issues i had.
I will test other cars, for example ferrari, to see if i will have sliding issues and im sure i will have as im sure likely i have only to warm my tyres lol

👍 Splendid. :)

I hope that you enjoy it now, there's plenty of car and track combinations to try. Try some of the older cars out, you'll find that some of them are surprisingly fun to drive.

Hopefully your settings might help any other TGT owners who might be struggling. Informative and immersive are auto learning and take a few laps to adjust to any changes to the settings. You shouldn't get a any FFB clipping afterwards.

@hEEk I second that advice by the ever helpful @IfAndOr !

Welcome to the game! Try these old cars as they have a particularly good feel on default settings:

Road G: Ford Escort RS1600 - try it at Knockhill
Lotus 25 - 1.5 litre V8 F1 car - try it at Brands Hatch GP for an authentic experience
Lotus 49 - 3.0 litre V8 F1 car - the earlier version without the wing feels best as the lack of aero makes it feel more alive. Particularly good at Silverstone Classic or Bannochbrae.
Lotus 40 - A very lively car from just before the start of the Can Am series - in real life it had a terrible reputation (it succeeded the Lotus 30 and Richie Ginther said "It's like the 30, but with 10 more mistakes!"). The car in the game is brilliant - probably much better than in real life. Try at Laguna Seca for an authentic experience.
Merc 300 SL (1952 the oldest car in the game!) - amazingly fun to drive especially at Rouen Les Essarts (one of Fangio's favourite tracks!).
Aston Martin DBR1/300 (1959 Le Mans and WSCC winner) - it has a wonderfully wobbly feel and with practise and good timing you can use the wobbles to your advantage - I suggest Sugo in the dry or Watkins Glen (long circuit) in the wet.
BMW 2002 SW - try the Sakitto short layouts at night with this car - brilliant!

thanks man

don't know how I missed that before.......... too old I guess :)
