help for xbox live

hey guys

ok, i am getting an xbox soon, and forza motorsport, and i would like to play online. but i need some help. you see, i don't think connecting to xbox live via the router is going to work because the router is connected to the pc, which is in the dining room and the main tv and xbox will be in the lounge which is across from the dining room and the tv is right in the top right hand corner of the room. so can you guys think of a way to resolve this. i know you can connect via dsl modem, but i'm not sure where i can find one in norwich (where i live). and besides, the nearest phone socket is in the opposite corner to the tv, behind the sofa.

any help would be appreciated.

you could either..
A. Run a long network cable through the house to your router or...
B. Get a wireless network adapter

you do have a broadband internet connection right? just making sure.

I have a wireless network adapter, which communicates with my router which also has wireless capabilities. If yours does too this is probably the easiest way to do it without having wires running all over the place. My xbox is in my room on the 2nd floor and my router is in the basement on the opposite corner of the house and I never have any connectivity problems.

Both the router and wireless adapter are made by Linksys, but the wireless adapter will work with any wireless routers. In my case (of them being the same brand) it was pretty much plug and play and I was signing up to live in minutes. If it doesnt work, there is a program you can run on your computer to program the wireless adapter with your network settings so it can find it.
