[HELP] - G27 SETUP for GT5.

I know that should be a lot of topics about it, but I didn't find it. lol :nervous:

I'll buy my G27 this month and I want to know a common setup for begginers.

Its obvious that I must play along to perfect my skills.

Please guys, help me.

Just another detail, that I REALLY worried.

There are a lot of topics about G27 losing calibration after some months.

Is that real? I mean, In brazil, this wheel cost almost $400.

I dont want to pay $400 and after one month, get the problem...
 
I have mine since GT5 released, and still havent had any trouble with it. 103 500km in GT5 and still counting.

I don't know if the new G27 models still have this issue.

AND NO, I will not pay 400 bucks and have the work to open this thing and solve the problem.

I saw these photos and seems to complicate...

Logitech forum has a lot of complain between 2012 and march 2013 about calibrate issue.

So? buy or not buy?
 
I'd say buy.

If you get any issues within the warranty time (usually 2 years from purchase, may vary from country to country), just return it to where you bought it, and they'll "look at it", take maybe a few days to a 14 days normally, then you'd get a call saying come get your new one.

That's what happened when my G27 went nuts. Though that was probably due to moving to a new house.

Logitech has top support, and get's things done quickly and smoothly.

Got a new G27 within a week after I returned the 1st one, and the new one got 2 new years of warranty.

The big problem is, Brazil dosen't has a official support from Logitech.

If my G27 come with a issue, I will need to ship my G27 to U.S. and this can take some few weeks. This country just sux in burocracy.

What I can do is, find a store not official from Logitech but one that is aware of calibration issue and aks for them if they can solve it normally.

Yup!

They DOES offer, but not complatelly.

BUT, I don't know if Logitech has a industry in Brazil, if yes, I don´t need to ship my G27 to U.S.

I found a phone number in Logitech website. I will call them maybe today.

Another option is, I will call a well know store that is selling G27 close to my home and aks them if the warranty is avaliable for me to change at any time during one year.

Unfortunatelly, even if G27 if a high quality product for playing GT5 (not at all....), I must have sure that I will not have bigger problems after two months of use.

Over 12 months of hard daily use on mine... no problems so far.
 
I've had my G27 2.5 years and it's had some proper hammer (>160k miles in GT5)... other than the pedals needing a good clean every now and again it's been faultless.

Before the G27 I had a G25 for 2 years, and that was also 100% reliable.
 
It´s nice and weird to read some facts like these.

I have been looking for the G27 calibrate issue for some days.

Anyway, I may buy it.
 
Dudes, just called Logitech Officla Suporte from "BRAZIL"

Really, a spanish girl got the phone..

I know that these suport calls have many indians and asians and blablabla, it was so fun, in the first moment because I tried to speak spanish and I was like: "WTF, she clearly understand and speak my language in very good ways...lol"

Anyway, she told me that I must find some brazilians stores like Kalunga and Fnac, I will call them and check....
