Help gaining experience points in order to reach level 20

I am trying to finish the mission challenge stage 5, level 6. This is a Grp X car on Nurburgring GP. Level 20 unlocks this track in Arcade mode and would allow for enough practice to learn the course. I have been doing lots of Circuit Experience and noticed that you only get XP the first time a medal is awarded. Also, silver medals only award around 30 XP, and I need over 2,000 to reach level 20. Most of the time I am not fast enough to achieve gold, but I can usually get silver with enough practice.

Driving School already at 100% and Circuit Experience is 99% (can't finish full lap of Nordschleife fast enough).

What is the best way to gain XP?

Yeah, the levels come pretty quick but one thing you can do is look at the achievements. Many of them give a lot of exp points and some are as simple as creating a livery or buying a car.
