Hey, I'm looking for some help getting my PS2 to play on my monitor. I'm looking to upload some videos from GT4.

I just installed a ATI (?), it has S-video input. The card is working fine but how do I get it to display the input??

Do I need another program to get this to work?

I really hope this is the right forum.

I tried to install Catalyst software suite but it said it could find the AGP driver..

I'm still looking into it.

Ok ,now I have the right drivers installed. Im running the ATI Allinwonder Rage Pro 128.

Now how do I get the PS2 on my screen via the input on the card?

Update:

It's working but it's not as clear as I was hoping. It actually looks worse than on my tv.

Digital art help? i don't think so

Why did you ever think it would look better?

PS2 was designed to be run through a TV.

I believe the reason was stated in my first post. Isn't the graphic manipulation of videos concidered to be digital art?

I was thinking the quality would be at least equal.

Unfortunatly no.. it won't be equal... the way your computer and monitor render graphics is different then the way that your PS2 renders graphics... so the ps2 looks like a pile of donkey dung on your PC monitor... and its worse if you try running it through a TV video card... you will have a slight lagg in the video... i tried playing GT4 on my pc and i would get a splitting effect where the car would literaly get split up on every other horizontal line ... the only console system that did the PC monitor converstion right was the Dreamcast... *DAMN YOU SEGA FOR SELLING OUT!!!!* that's the only game system that i have seen that looks absolutly stellar on a pc monitor... so i would suggest... if your cramped for space.. get a small TV and place it next to your computer monitor and run your sound through ur PC card...

just my 2c

I have some nice drifting replays I wanted to post as well as making a GT4 gif for my sig.

When I recorded the screen, unfortunatly all I got was the sound and a black screen.

I thought of hooking it through a vcr and using the coaxial output to my TV card. Has anyone had similar results.

In response to those who tried to help. Thanks for your effort. 👍 It was the wrong video driver. I had to uninstall the old driver then load the newest driver.
