Oiyo - everyone talks about the minolta, but how do you get it? I know which endurance race to win to get it, but HOW did you win that race in the first place? I'm using a fully upped Saleen S7 with the following settings:

SUSPENSION:
spring rate 13.0/10.0
ride height: 65/65
bound: 4/6
rebound: 5/7
camber: 1/1
stabilizers: 6/7

BRAKES:
brake balance: 12/9

LIMITED SLIP:
initial: 5
accel: 5
decel: 15

TRANSMISSION/DRIVING AIDS:
-all transmission left alone except
auto set: 12
ASM (front): 0
ASM (rear): 0
TCS: 1

TIRES: medium racing I think.

I plan to B-spec the race, as I'm getting familiar with my new DF and I was trying El Capitan and I was spinning out like crazy (I got my ia licence on gt3, so I'm not THAT bad lol). B-spec seems to run fine on it.
Any suggestions as to changing tuning or tires? Also, what speed should I run the B-Spec at, run overtake fulltime or no, how many laps till pit...etc etc. Thanks a whole bunch to anyone who helps out.

PS: Sorry if this has already been posted - no results came up on search.
PSS: Thanks to whoever posted these settings for me to use in the first place.

I think I used the Formula GT. Failing that, I would have used my Toyota GT-One.

I'm not sure how good the Saleen S7 is, but usually in endurance races I set my pace to 1 or 2 to cut down on tire wear and pitstops, I usually run overtake fulltime if its a closer race, but if im using the Formula GT vs. production cars I will run no overtake and pace 1.

Wow...pace 1 or 2!?!? lol. Will B-Spec pit on its own, so I dont have to worry about him driving reds? I've heard that after he pits, theres a menu that pops up asking if you want to change...does it just stay there 5 secs then leave, or do I have to manually press ok? thanks :dopey:

I won the El Capitan (Where you get the 88C-V) with an old 89' R32 GT-S with 60,000 miles and all the goods, had no problem, half and half with B-Spec, won easily.

you have to consider in this race (and a few others) that you will probably have to use S1 tires (for the endurance).

an 850hp MR car is going to be too hard to handle with the s1 tires, so i recommend somethin a lil less exoctic. i did it in the Nismo Fairlady 350z Z-TUNE. Fully modified, with S1 tires, and let me tell you. It made me hate the car. switching from r3 or better tires to S1s will make you not like the game. its so not fun to drive on S1 tires. But it was fun to watch the car drift. the little grip in the tires and excessive hp from the rear wheels made it real fun to whip around corners

try somethin with less hp, switch to S1 tires  and giv'er til the wheels fall off
also, try boosting the TCS up a bit. it helps with the crappy tires

jeez - I guess the S7 isnt that great for endurance races (unless its like test coarse :) )
I might try getting the 350Z LM concept. Should I fully upgrade it (or can you only do like 2 upgrades?) Also, do 'S' tires have more duability then super slick racing tires?...Even so, should I use superslicks - A 350Z concept is probably going to have a ton of HP.

Any supercar works fine just need to tune it right and make sure your b-spec driver can handle it.... I whooped the el capitan 200 miler with the 350Z LM with full upgrades. As for tires if you need to use sports tires use the softest ones, otherwise if you can use race tires use R1 in rear and R3 in the front. You might even be able to get away with using Sports Medium in rear and Sports Soft in front. My b-spec driver (and me) can handle lots o' power on Sports tires, just don't rip it all the time. (Running Toyota on sports tires :))

You do have to use either normal or sports tires for that race, but if you plan on B-specing it you can just use the biggest, baddes LMP car with S1 tires and set the pace to 1 or 2. It will win quite easily with only three pit stops.

Buy the Corvette race car for 1 million. Then race it in the 24h Nurburgring on B-spec. You win the Gran Turismo Formula 1 car(which sells for 1.4 million+). This car will kick any cars ass on open B-spec races. The Toyota Minolta is in the El Capitan 200 mile endurance race.
