Help lost savegame

Hello,

I've been playing GT5 for 6 months and built up a decent level and amount of credits, then yesterday evening I was really stupid (perhaps under the stress of the end of the working week) and decided it was time to clean up my ps3.

I backed up the GT5 savegame to a usbkey and proceed to reset the ps3 to factory default using quick format as formatting choice.

After reinstalling GT5, it now says the savegame are of another user and that will be overwritten

Perhaps this is the result of being unable to retrieve my username and trophies from psn, not being able even to login that confuses the game, or am I lost?

Please let me know!

Yes thats exactly it. The game save is tied to your online user name.

Now you have to wait till whenever psn is back online which could be months at this rate
