Help!? Mazda '91 Mazda 626 2.2L oil leak!?!?

Hi, I'm hoping for some advice here.. I've been helping my dad work on his Mazda, it's going through about a 1/2 quart of oil in 30 minutes, and it is all going through the exhaust!?! So so far we have done the following.. Replaced PCV, done a hot and cold compression check and checked the lifters and valves for proper seating.. There is no oil in the coolant or vice versa so that eliminates the head gasket.. The leak is bad enough that oil drips out of the connection where the exhaust meets the catalytic converter! So unless someone knows something I don't I believe the only think it could be is a cracked block internally where it would have to be cracked between one of the oil orifices and the exhaust between the header and the valves in the block!? Any advice would be nice! Thank you!

PS: no oil on plugs and this is a non-turbo car..
