Hi guys long time reader of gtplanet, first time poster.

I'm picking up my xbone tomorrow (the blue one that comes with forza6) and I've been looking into getting my first gaming wheel/pedals and havent really gotten anywhere. I'd want a wheel that is compatible with the pc as well as xbone as I do regular lan parties with friends and Grid autosport is a game we all enjoy. Looking at the buyers guide I've got a choice of

Logitech G920
Mad Catz Pro racing wheel
Thrustmaster TX variants

They all seem to be in roughly the same price range and I do like the look of the G920 but from what i've read alot of people seem to have a thrustmaster or nothing opinion, i could/probably am completely wrong though. Another thing, is there any difference between the 458 edition and the leather thrustmaster tx other then the way the wheel looks?

Any input and ideas of where to buy from within Australia would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks :)

Look forwards to seeing your console get mine in UK on Friday.

Logitech missed a great opportunity to improve upon the G27/G29.
The G920 while being Xbox One compatible is in many ways similar to a 5 year old product (G27)
It does not feature the LED lights of the G29 but for price/performance and options Thrustmaster does seem to be the current best middle ground and for you down under the best choice.

For a first wheel etc well...
The TX base with their T3PA-PRO metal pedal option and upcoming 599XX EVO rim would be my own choice. Nice set of gloves to protect the rim and if you want the shifter its not bad neither.

Fanatec will offer better performance but price is much higher and availability in AUS prob still an issue?
