help me decide what to do with my suv

I know this sounds crazy. But I got the wild idea to stick a V8 into 1988 Isuzu trooper. And do some body mods and have a little fun with it. But Idk what I should do conepletely. Someone want to give me some ideas?

When you mentioned SUV I thought of some mall crawling Suburban, Tahoe, Sequoia, Escalator or Navigade (sarcasm, people!) or some other automotive aberration. If that had been the case I'd say set it on fire, crush it or at least sell it.

The Trooper escapes my definition of an SUV (although I know that it really is one). The Trooper is a no-BS SUV in my book, much like am XJ Cherokee.

As far as modifications to a Trooper, I'd go along these lines:

Drop a small block Chevy, put some live axles underneath, lift, lock, and take it offroad.

If you wanted to go off-roading I wouldn't recommend a V8 petrol, sure the competition guys use them but they have lockers etc. You'd be better off spending it on a vehicle with a more powerful diesel engine and lifting it, installing lockers etc...

Lol. Nice and sounds like a good idea. The 88 is definitely a no BS because well the interior has a dash and that's about it. No special seats. No plastic pillar covers. Nothing extra. Just a bunch of metal. And Idk about a Chevy small block my friend has one and it doesn't make much power. What about a Ford or something like that?

If you'd ever driven one. You'd change Your mind. For an I4 powered SUV that little thing will go.

Once I find a new engine to put in it ill make thrashes to keep you guys updated. Even though probably no one cares. Maybe ill be a coupe this summer for a little on road Fun
