Does anyone know why in my Gt-3 a-spec I can only obtain a Polyphony 001 and 002 and not the F094/H etc, etc. I'm 97.2 complete but I can't win all races in the professional GT championship with the 001 and this is appantently the best car!

Also, it cannot be imporved in any way, not even tyres, and by the time you reach the 4th race the engine is losing so much power as there is no way of changing the oil mid-championship.

It's the UK PAL platinum version

Cheers

Ian

Any Polyphony F1 car is for PAL players, like you, the other F1s are for NTSC players.

You gotta try drive more carefully, not to rev engine so high, as much as possible.

But that is true - NTSC has F1 cars by their names - (6 of them) - but PAL has only two - Polyphony 001 and Polyphony 002. My suggestion is, to try and win some endurance races again. I believe there must be a Polyphony 002 there (last Endurance Race?). I'm currently at little over 80% on my second time in GT3, so I will be there too :).

Thanks guys - guess I'm just gonna have to improve my driving standards! - I'm used to having an (unfair) car advantage and now the playing field is level it's showing up my deficiencies.......

Not true. Engine power loss has nothing to do with how much time your engine spends at or near redline. All that matters is the mileage. I can't remember the mile mark that a won car starts to lose power, but you could be giving it a right thrashing and it won't lose any power before that.

I have to diasgree. Did a practical test with bit tuned Honda NSX (gotta love that sound in red zone :) ) and Heavily tuned MB CLK 55. When i over-reved car almost every time, it's oil's color changed and power loss came earlier - in fact about 30% earlier - than with no overreving and so on. The only problem with these F1 cars is, that they need high RPM to work and there is allways Test Course to drive, where aou push the throttle hard all the time. That race does the most damage.

So I think, that driving matters Of course when you drive normal race, you don't push the car deep into red and so on and that is why the difference in normal racing is not that big, but it is perhaps just that extra bit, that could help.

Not sure about that, Viper.. there's been tests done by users here, and the oil light comes on at 187 miles every single time. I believe that's 300km for the rest of the world. That was regardless of how the cars were driven.. it was multiple cars, multiple tracks.. one run at high speed, high RPM, 187 miles. Another run of Sunday driving, low RPMs.. 187 miles.

Oh, I wasn't reffering to oil lamp. It could be programmed to warn you after 300km, but the color of oil. It wasn't black yet, but was for sure darker with heavy driving ...

:dopey: Practice alot with the F090S, if you have it, or you may get it by winning the "endurance" "super speed way" race, if you're lucky. Then learn to set it up, ...suspension, camber...1.8f, 1.2r, no toe angle in/out 0,0, shock bound 3f, 3r, rebound 7f, 7r, ride height 45mm, spring rate 17.5 f&r, ...brakes balance 11f, 12r;... limited slip initial torque 5; accel. 40, decel. 20; ...gear ratio level 40, with 6th gear at 1.000;... final drive 3.900;...downforce 0.92f, 1.38r;... ASM level 14;...
TCS level 6. ........Try these settings, they worked good with me  ...BTW, Tokyo, Laguna and Cote d'azur, are the hardest to beat, but with practice and...rhythm?......................, who knows 💡 .......................................................
............................good luck  ......... :scared: :ouch: :dunce:
