Hi all,

I have been reading for a while and now starting to build.

So far I have

cyberkart racing frame

http://performanceforums.com/forums/showthread.php?67258466-EOI-Next-Level-racing-cockpit-group-buy

SAAS sports seat

http://m.supercheapauto.com.au/Product/SAAS-Dual-Recline-Sports-Seat/271516

G27 wheel - sparco wheel, DSD shifters, boss kit, button plate

G27 pedals - all nixom mods throughout

G27 shifter - stock

2 x Aura pro bass shakers run through a SONY amp

lots of felt to soften the hard metal of the frame

carbon fibre wrap

I am seeking some guidance as to what to do and how to do it.

I would like to;

isolate the frame for the 2 x bass shakers

stiffen up the shifters from DSD

mount the Auras (no idea where)

change the angle of the pedal mount (is reverse mount pedals doable?)

raise the seat a little

sell my G27 pedals and get the fanatic V2

I will be placing the frame in the lounge in front of the TV (7.1 sound and 55") I realise I will be sitting very low :(

Reverse pedal mounts can be done but it would be a could idea to swap the original springs out for stiffer springs for a more realistic feel.

I wouldn't sell your g27 pedals. You'll need them to play GT as the game doesn't support standalone pedals. If you wanted to use csp's with GT you would have to own a fanatec wheel as well. However for PC use I say go ahead and order the CSP's. I'm sure you'll love them! =]

Hi Super Kermit

Regarding your bass shakers, are you going to be running a mono tactile system - if so I suggest one shaker under the seat and one under the pedal area, if stereo I suggest both shakers under the seat - one to the left and one to the right.

The better your isolation, the more tactile effect you will get. Ideally mount the shaker direct to the underneath of the seat (this isn't always possible because of the structure of the seat). Isolate the seat from the rig frame by rubber mounting it - you may need to mount the seat to a sub frame and isolate that from the frame.

If you want tactile effect on the pedals, hard mount them to metal or mdf then rubber mount that to a pedal plate or brackets on the frame - you can use automotive bobbins for this.

Finally the frame should be mounted on rubber - you can use rubber door stops, but buttkicker isolators or Penn Elcom 9106 isolators are the ideal solution.
