Help me paint my cockpit

So I am just about to receive my new cockpit and am really undecided how to paint it.

Would love to hear everybody's ideas.

Here is a picture of the cockpit. Mine however will be using a g25 instead of that wheel/pedal set and will not be painted.

Am happy to spend a little on decals but not overly much. Also I ideally would like to avoid metallic colours as I don't have experience painting with them.

My only idea thus far has been to paint it matt black and add some gloss black accents/racing stripe somewhere.

Matt black with gloss black looks like the way to go - always a good combo. It depends what you are going for - are you going for black, evil muscle car looks, or a clinical pristine white Japanese look? Or neither of those?

I actually am more a european exotics fan. However I am open to anything be it race, classic, or muscle. Just something that would look cool!

I stole the matt/gloss combo from the porsche design cayman

However thought it may be better to go matt with gloss highlights as a. it's easier to paint and b. gloss black scratches easy.

Looks like you have answered your own question. That colour should be the way to go, some nice vinyls and stickers, a stipe if you want and it will be taking off.

How much does that structure cost?

Whipped this up to make things a bit easier for anyone who can't explain their ideas.

Cockpit with a fiberglass seat and a few other options is setting me back about $800AUD

I will probably add a gtp sticker somewhere. Looking at the sticker offered off the thehotstickers website I may buy a set and only affix the symbol and not the text as it is rather large

800AUD is the price of the console when you bought it I think. Thats ALOT.

Console was 1k rrp (midnight pickup). However got it for 900 and F1CE for free after winning a F1CE competition at my local EB.

My previous cockpit cost $250. However it definitely followed the saying "you get what you pay for". Considering the limited range of cockpits available in Australia (There are about 3-4 that I came across here and most were cheaply made/too heavy/bulky and would not fold up what so ever (aside from also being an eye sore)) and that building one myself simply would never be as good, $800 isn't that bad a price to pay. You actually can get the cockpit for $500 that will do the job but like I said, there were some extra options i wanted.

There are a few very nice ones available from the US/EU but it just costs too much for postage and from memory actually cost more than the one I am getting anyway.
