Please help me, i've only just started to drift (well try anyway) and im *****n hopeless, i was wonderin if there was a begginers setup for a 200sx typeX, also is there any full on in depth guides to drift, any help would be appreciated.

so u know i use a Madcatz MC2 steering wheel, and so u know my skill level my fastest time on Laguna Seca Is 1min 14.222 seconds with a 1072 BHP R34 Skyline.

I love drift and regularly buy HPI mag as its the only mag i can find in Australia with any drift in it.

Also is the Super Speedway a good learners track for drift.

And should i use Bumper view or tail view??

Most importantly i've always used manual,is it better to use Auto in drift??

Any help would be appreciated,
thanx:confused: :odd:

for me, i drift with an auto. sometimes if i need to be in a certain gear, then i hold L2 or R2. i need to check on that because since then, i've been changing my gears to hold throughout the corner. as for the view, go in first person view when you look at the spedometer because the tail view lags.

i hope that helps :)

one thing you should try to practice driftin is just practice back and forth on one corner, i practice on the complex road, when you first start, turn backward and i use that corner until im 100 percent on that corner, then i start to learn how to drive, because i use the anolog, hey if you use the anolog, its 100 % drifting for you, because you can set the RPM to high or low on the cars start jumps like real life, and you have to practice using the anolog, its way better and 100% accurate then using the X button, but its ur choice so hope you know it

In car views the only way you can get a feel for a car, an more power...arrrr
up the ponies
Pratice on the Rally tracks, with an over horsed car...the Escort Rallys good for that at 600 hp

try drifting midfield or tokyo 246, those are good courses to learn how to drift

the course that has all of the kinds of corners to drift: complex string :p

actually, complex string is a course to test out the car's capabilities. that's why there are so many different kinds of corners :)

good 4 yu, doing it under 2'30.567 *props*

Anything at 3'00 is a good time... no mistakes whatsoever can be made on the course
