Are you kidding?
Ok, i have a story to tell children. Are you sitting comfortably? Then I'll begin. I was tuning (well, i wasn't tuning, I was just adding anything a huge turbo) my Suzuki Alto Works to enter the lightweight cup, But when i entered, It was VERY slow. I know this is due to turbo lag, but i would be much obliged if someone could tell me how turbo lag works, because i am intrigued.

u should use the mini isntead....at 61 hp...man that flys *whistles for the mini* :p

i have no idea how turbo lag works....but yet ive read about it b4...my memory is blank man....:odd:

P.S. MINIS ROCK, specialy the ones out of italian job

lol yes. I like the BLUE one best.

There are two main part's on a turbo.

1. The compressor wheel - Air wheel
2. The turbine wheel - Exhaust wheel

In short, exhaust gas spin's the turbine wheel, which in turn spin's the compressor wheel via a shaft. Turbo lag depend's on how large the turbine wheel is. The larger the wheel, the more exhaust it will take to spin it = turbo lag. :)

ok thnx. Ur very clever

I do not think its a turbo lag on that. i think it is just a slow rev

yeah how stuff works is like my 3rd bible(1st is the real bible second is this site) lol
yeah turbo lag is any set of RPMS b4 boost kicks in I.E. 1000rpm til 4000 rpm might come real slow then it hits the powerband (when turbo kicks in) and shoots from 4000rpm up to like 7500rpm like nothing (buy escudos and stage 4 turbo turn tcs off and then drive it you'll understand then)

Check out this...https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/t-25304.html

Not turbo lag, but lack of momentum. Try the "STOCK" flywheel.
Also note the power difference between the 2 intercoolers.

Bigger isn't always better.

try a close ratio 'box as well, that should keep it on the boil also

Two threads with sarcasm! :p

Turbo lag is just the time is takes for the exhaust gases to build up to get the turbo working.
