Ok, so I just plugged my Fanatec wheel into my PC, it showed up on the Porsche Wheel Property Page on my desktop, same with the CSP's. I played with GTR2 Demo to try and get it to work, it showed it was on and it had the little red dot on the LED Display. No matter, I'll just go and play GT5. I try and remove the Shifter holders, and I kinda had to force them out.

Now when I set it up on PS3, I get onto the GT5 menu's. (GT Mode) I turn it on, it calibrates. Then when it stops, instead of it displaying the red dot, it displays three red dashes. Heres a picture.

From what I can tell, it's not the 888 error code, though it does display three eights when calibrating. I was playing with it just yesterday. Maybe it has overheated with the weather Texas has gotten?

Are you sure your USB is fully plugged in?

Yeah, it was loose for a minute so I put it back in and the same thing happened when I tried to power it back up.

Did you put your wheel into PS3 mode? You need to press the base button (big, silver button on the left) and select button (left button below the D-pad) simultaneously.

I did, and I figured out the problem. The USB on my PS3 was bad, so plugging it in to another USB Port made it work perfectly.

Yep, those three dashes appear on mine after it's done the initial calibration but waiting for the USB to be connected to something.

Does the little red dot come on automatically for you? Mine only has the dot when it is in PS3 compatibility mode, when I first start it it is in PC mode and has no dot. You hopefully shouldn't need to turn that mode on for PC games, although if it doesn't recognize the wheel maybe that might help(guessing).

Red dot is usually on when it's in PS3 mode, but some wheels has it even when connected to a PC. I had it from the beginning, but it doesn't matter as it is still in PC mode. Now, when driver 1.10 came out, there's no red dot in PC mode. At least for me.

I can't even get it to work on PC. It recognizes it on the Porsche Wheel Property Page, but in game it has no effect, no matter how many times I try.
