Help on a track from 'The Beach' SoundtrackMusic

Guys

I've been trying to track down a particular track and artist from the soundtrack to the film 'The Beach' - no comments on the film or the book please.

As is often the case the moment I take interest in a piece of music some time after it's been released it immediately vanishes from playlists.

Whilst obviously difficult to explain a piece of music via text, here goes - the track has a single male vocalist who almost talks rather than sings through the song, with a tribal, almost choir like chant as the 'landscape' to the song - the song has a sting in the chorus with an electric guitair, drums and the aforement tribal choir partway through the song.

Anyone know where I could possibly listen to a brief sample of the songs off this soundtrack, or know the song from my pathetic description?

If you have Kazaa, just type in The Beach Soundtrack and it should come up with a few choices.....

I found an MP3 of that - that's not it.

This was a big 'epic' track, big sounding piece.

I'm starting to wonder if it's actually on the album - I wonder if it isn't on the album.

It seems to be a song they use on ads for the film - much long Song 2 for Starship Troopers.

Well, I am a bit, but I'm happy with the composition of the second paragraph - aside from the substitution of the word 'like' for 'long', and indeed, the identification of the band 'Blur'.
 
Right, check out www.thebeachmovie.com the trailer is on the right about 7.3 meg. Is the song you're talking about the one that has very little vocals but it's kind of a male voice with "yeahhhhh, mmmm, mmmm" if so i have that song at home somewhere but right now it eludes me.

Kind of atmospheric sound?

The music starts in the sequence where you first see the girl in the blue bikini - it's a fairly short grab.
 
Hmmm, nope not if it's that bit when she's lying on the beach in a bikini.

Otherwise it's Moby from the album Play, thnks to Claire on the friendly net. I have the album and will listen to it on Sunday just in case it's a bit of another track.
