I just bought a Subaru WRX STI and set up to have 430hp. I tried many LSD settings I've seen in these forums, and tuned the suspension and turned off the aids, but I cant seem to get it drifting. I've mastered drifting my S2000, i used the setting in the tutorial. I was wondering if somebody could send my a set up with all the tunings so i can practice AWD drifting. It would be a real help.

if You've "Mastered" S2000 drifting then you -should- have an idea on how to drift AWD. Don't expect the angles or the high speed drifting you get with FR. There are plently of threads along with a link in the FAQ that deals with AWDrift.

but if it were me, I'd say take it off road to start, stock.

well, i really dont like off-road, all I am really asking for is a car setting, with all the settings for like tranny, LSD, suspension and so on. Thats how i built my S2000 and I loved it, so maybe somebody's setting will please me...

Why not learn what each setting does and try to create your own custom feel rather than demand settings and disregard suggestions"?

Going off road with a stock car is the best way to learn how to drift an AWD or 4WD car, as it is more forgiving. Once you have it down to a fine art offroad, then it is time to hit the black stuff.

Also, as FC3Sleepah said, take a gander at the Drift Settings Depot, there are settings for just about every car in GT4.

Go Nuts my friend!

What you need is single handley the best AWD Drift car in GT4 and that is the 1999 Nissan Skyline GT-R R34. You will need to do a couple of thing's to the car before you go Drifting.

1. N2 Tire's
2. LSD - Stock
3. Racing Suspenion - Lower Car, Spring Rate- F 10.0 R 10.0 Stab's - F 5 R 5
4. Custom Transmission FD 12
5. Aids - 0
- 5
- 0

The car will take some Fainting to Drift in some Corner's is the best AWD Drifter in the game.

Drifting AWD is DIFFERENT then Drifting FR. Not totally, but enough to mess with your head. However, if you can't at least start the drift, then that's a matter of technique, not settings.

well i took peoples advice and started off-road, and then took it to the blacktop with my own settings, and it worked. thanks a lot

Well, if you want to drift AWD, try the Nissan Skyline R34 Nur ( I think) with N1's and the matter of technique that Swift mention would be feint.

I made a Skyline R34 to drift. Well, it may sound strange, but I think if you use a hard sport tyre, you drift much more easier than having an N2 tyre on it.

But I can only perform braking drift and lift-off with it. Both of them need a very speed to initiate the drift. Putting more power on the wheels certainly won't help much. I think why 4WD can drift like FR is mostly because of the weight.

Anyone has a car that has settings that drift more similar to a FR car??

I usually make all my car drift like 4 WD.....
You want to make your R34 spin? using demon (huge) camber at the rear can help make a 4WD spin :D.

I make my awd cars drift his way.

Make your car lower, make the spring rate like F:7 R:8 or 9, don't make the stabilizers too strong, and I think this part is very important, make value of acceleration in the rear low. Try something like, in the front, initial 5, acceleration 36 and deceleration 26 or 16 and in the rear, put the same values, but in the acceleration put something like 30, or 25, or even less. If you have a wing, don't make them do very downforce, because it will destroy your drift. Try hard tyres, or sport tyres, but not too much soft. I think this should make your car drift. Turn off the turn aids.

I think this can make your WRX drift, if it doesn't, give it more HP.
